Ubuntu Migration Camp follows the colossal herds of wildebeest as they journey around the Serengeti. From the dramatic river crossings in the north to the fertile grasslands in the south where the wildebeest give birth, we set up camp nearby to ensure you’re always close to the action.
In Swahili ‘Ubuntu’ means kindness and generosity towards others – and this small and intimate camp certainly lives up to its name. The close-knit team of friendly staff and experienced guides ensure that warm hospitality, great food and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere remain at the heart of Ubuntu Camp. The open-plan main area spills into the surrounding wilderness – impressive views of the landscape stretch to the horizon. Here you can fall into a book or spend a lazy afternoon watching game on the sprawling plains. Breakfast and lunch are served under canvas in the dining tent mere steps away, while dinner is often enjoyed under the stars beside the glowing embers of the campfire, to the soundtrack of the Serengeti’s nocturnal animals.
The traditional tented camp is designed to leave no trace. It can be quickly disassembled and transported to new pastures following the herds along their migration route. Every day, you will be out in the bush looking for wildlife such as lions or cheetahs attracted by the huge gatherings of prey. Over morning coffee, watch wildebeest males chasing each other or zebras tussling. For a sunrise to remember, start the day by gliding above the plains in a hot-air balloon.
Ubuntu Migration Camp has ten canvas safari tents, including one family tent. They all have mesh side panels to let the light in during the day and king-sized or twin beds for a good night’s sleep. The en suite bathrooms have hot-water bucket showers and flushing toilets. Spend afternoons relaxing on the porch outside your tent, watching the nearby herds or immersed in a good book.

Great planning and service
Great planning and service, and everything worked like clockwork. We booked an Inyari Lodge safari with air with Safari.com. it wasn't clear if there will be 2 or three of us, so with Candis' help we booked a family chalet for 2 and added the third later when it was confirmed he can come. Candis put us on flights that maximized our game drive time (unlike some of the other guests) so we got all 6 drives in 3 nights. The lodge was great. Especially the game drives. We saw more than we hoped for. Additionally, Safari.com's insurance was very competitive. Highly recommended.

Fantastic travel agent for African safari family trip!
Wow! Shann was and is fantastic! She figured out a way to make our entire trip work. We are going on a 2 week trip to South Africa and Botswana. She really helped tie it all together as a wonderful, cohesive trip. She is super nice and super smart and very knowledgeable. She is also flexible and thoughtful, etc., etc. When the chips were down (and we literally were considering pulling the plug on the whole trip), she found a way to make the entire itinerary work and got us excited about our wonderful adventure!
