The Details
Location
Moremi Crossing sits on Ntswi Island in Gunn's Private Concession (NG27B), directly across the Boro River from the southernmost tip of Chief's Island in the Moremi Game Reserve. The light-aircraft flight from Maun takes around 20 minutes, with a short drive from Ntswi airstrip to camp.
The camp shares its heritage with Gunn's Camp, one of the Delta's first traditional safari outposts, founded by Mike Gunn in the 1980s. Early visitors traded rifles for cameras here, helping shape Botswana's photographic safari industry.
Accommodation
The camp has 16 Meru-style tented suites in total: 14 standard tents, one family tent and one honeymoon tent, all raised on wooden decks along Ntswi Island's riverine forest of palms and ancient trees that are home to Pel's fishing owls.
Each tent has a private elevated viewing deck with outdoor seating, a spacious lounge with armchairs, ceiling fan, tea and coffee facilities, USB charging and writing desk. En-suite bathrooms have flushing toilets, double vanities and outdoor showers with hot and cold water. The honeymoon tent adds an outdoor bathtub.
Dining
The crescent-shaped main area sits on stilts above the floodplain, with open-sided dining, lounge and bar beneath thatched roofing. A sand-set firepit hosts evening drinks and storytelling, and a swimming pool, central charging station, safari shop and complimentary laundry round out the facilities. The camp runs on solar with backup generators and offers limited Wi-Fi.
Activities
Game drives, including night drives and off-road tracking, run year-round in Gunn's Private Concession (seasonally weather-dependent). Vehicles seat up to 9 guests. Walking safaris, mokoro trips, motorboat cruises and seasonal fishing are offered when water levels allow, generally May to September. Helicopter excursions can be arranged. The signature Adventure Camping sleep-out is available with a minimum two-night stay at no extra cost (minimum two, maximum six guests, from the second night).

Honeymoon
Couples travelling within one year of their wedding receive a 50 per cent discount on the accommodation portion for one of the two guests, available at any time of year, together with a wedding gift at the first camp and a private dinner at any camp during the stay, arranged in advance. The second guest is charged at the standard rate, with any applicable long-stay reduction. Proof of marriage, such as a wedding certificate, is required before travel, and the offer cannot be combined with 5 Rivers rates or any other discount or special.
Last minute
Dynamic last-minute rates may be available for travel within 30 days of booking, subject to availability at the time of enquiry.
Long stay
Stays of six nights or more, either at Moremi Crossing alone or combined across participating camps, are charged at reduced long-stay rates, with a further reduction from eight nights. This applies in the Secret, Shoulder and Flood seasons only, and is not available in the Green season or in combination with 5 Rivers rates; nights at Chobe Safari Lodge, Chobe Bush Lodge and Nata Lodge do not count towards the total. In June and October, stays of six nights or more are also charged at the lower Secret season rate. Guests who have stayed with the group before receive a further 5 per cent off accommodation, which may be combined with the long-stay reduction but not with any other special; previous camps and dates are required for verification.
Family
Children aged 6 to 15 at the time of travel qualify for reduced child rates when accommodated in the Family Tent, or on an extra bed in a tent with two full-paying adults; where one adult and one child share a standard tent, both are charged the adult rate, and a minimum of two adult rates applies in the Family Tent. Children of 16 and over pay the full adult rate, and proof of age may be requested. Child rates do not apply during the 5 Rivers season, when children are charged at the adult rate.

She put together what became an absolutely incredible African trip for us in the space of barely three weeks, and from the outset her responsiveness, knowledge and genuine enthusiasm were exceptional. We already had some of our own arrangements in place, including international flights and staying with friends in Cape Town, but Jolene seamlessly incorporated those into the overall itinerary and still organised all the surrounding logistics and transfers. Every part flowed beautifully and the lodges, experiences and logistics were exceptional. She would check us in for our internal flights and send through the boarding passes, confirm transfers the day before each pick-up, and make sure everything was in place before we ever had to think about it. That attention to detail, and the fact that she was always one step ahead, removed so much of the usual travel stress and allowed us simply to enjoy the trip. It was genuinely the trip of a lifetime, put together in an extraordinarily short timeframe, and Jolene deserves enormous credit for making it all happen. We could not recommend her highly enough."
