The Details

Location

Palm House Boutique Hotel and Spa sits at 10 Oxford Street in Upper Wynberg, a leafy historic suburb on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. The setting feels suburban and residential rather than city centre, yet the hotel is well placed for the Mother City's main draws. Guests can reach the V&A Waterfront and central Cape Town, Cape Town International Airport, the Atlantic Seaboard beaches, the Constantia wine farms and False Bay or Cape Point without long drives.

Rooms

Accommodation is split between the century-old main house and the surrounding gardens. Ten Deluxe rooms inside the manor house are individually decorated in a contemporary opulent style, with options including Deluxe Single, Deluxe Queen, Deluxe Double, Deluxe Twin and Deluxe King configurations.

Five Garden Suites are arranged around the pool terrace and gardens. These come in one, two and three-bedroom layouts, giving families and small groups room to spread out while still enjoying full hotel service.

Dining

Executive chef Gregory Henderson oversees both of the hotel's restaurants, with menus driven by seasonal Cape produce and a sustainability focus. Palm Terrace is the relaxed all-day venue, serving breakfast through to lighter daytime fare and casual dinners.

De Tafel is the more adventurous proposition, an elegant dinner-only room for longer tasting-style menus. Both restaurants are open to non-resident visitors, alongside Bar 1920 for cocktails and aperitifs.

Activities

The on-site Açaí Spa and Wellness Oasis uses the Africa-sourced Healing Earth range for its hand, foot, facial and body treatments. Facilities include four treatment rooms, a mani-pedi studio, an outdoor jacuzzi and a Banya sauna.

A qualified concierge team can arrange airport transfers, day excursions, restaurant bookings, wine estate visits and guided tours, making it easy to combine a Cape Town stay with Constantia winelands days, Cape Point drives and Table Mountain outings.

Knows Palm House Boutique Hotel & Spa backwards. Your direct contact from first enquiry to the day you come home.

"Five Star level treatment. I booked our Safari in Sabi Sans at Arathusa lodge, and our stay in Cape Town South Africa back in August of 2026 and the experience had been amazing. Safari.com agents have every detail thought from travel insurance, eSIM for phones, private transportation, and booked us amazing experiences. We saw the Big 5 in the Safari, went cage Shark diving, did a private guided Cape Peninsula tour. Everything was perfect! This was our first time using Safari.com and we will definitely use them in the future. I would highly recommend this company."
