The Details

Location

The hotel sits at the top of Plett's Main Street, in the heart of Plettenberg Bay along South Africa's Garden Route. Central Beach, restaurants, surf shops, bookshops and galleries are all within walking distance. Robberg Nature Reserve, the Plett wine region and several golf courses are a short drive away.

Rooms

Accommodation is split across three room categories. The 19 Economy Atrium Facing Rooms are around 17 sq m, with a small private courtyard opening onto the atrium, work desk, walk-in shower and modern essentials. The 22 Luxury Suites run to about 38 sq m and add a lounge area with city views, making them the pick for families with children. The 13 Luxury Sea Facing Suites, also around 38 sq m, come with a private balcony and full or partial ocean views.

Every room has a king-size bed (or twin configuration on request), en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, work desk, flat-screen TV, safe, mini bar, air-conditioning, tea and coffee facilities and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Dining

The on-site Sanctuary restaurant faces the street with a café feel and serves guests throughout the day. Beyond the hotel, Main Street has everything from fresh seafood and local specialities to international cuisine and vegetarian options, all a short walk from the door.

Activities

Plettenberg Bay's beaches, from the quieter Robberg Beach to the busier Central Beach, are the main draw. Robberg Nature Reserve, a World Heritage Site, offers cliff-top trails, sea caves and a Cape fur seal colony. Golfers have Goose Valley, Turtle Creek and Plettenberg Bay Country Club within a ten-minute drive, and the Plett wine of origin region is known for MCC and white wines, with tastings and lunches at nearby estates. The hotel team can help arrange day excursions across the wider region.

"Leigh-Ann was outstanding and very helpful in putting an itinerary together not just for a Safari but including internal flights and accommodation in Cape Town and all along the Garden Route. Would highly recommend using Safari.com for your South Africa trips especially if it is your first trip."
