The Detail
The architecturally designed lodge has been strategically positioned along the seasonal Ross River in the Timbavati Game Reserve. The interior designer has created a relaxed ambiance with indoor and outdoor guest spaces that seamlessly flow into one another, enabling both communal and private moments that exude an authentic bush feel.
RockFig Safari Lodge is the perfect bush destination for families with children of all ages or groups of friends.
Morning and afternoon game drives with professional guides and trackers, and a maximum of four guests per vehicle, ensure incredible wildlife experiences that bring this wild corner of South Africa to life.
Activities include two daily game viewing experiences with a professional guide and tracker. You can tailor your activities to suit your group. Game viewing is spectacular, offering opportunities to see any of the Big Five with the added bonus of tracking wild dogs, cheetahs, and white lions.
Optional activities include rhino chipping, elephant collaring, helicopter flips over Blyde River, and microlight flights.
Direct daily scheduled flights are available from OR Tambo International Airport and KMIA with Federal Air Charters.

Stay & Pay
Stay four nights and pay for three, giving one complimentary night. The offer applies to travel from 1 November to 19 December 2026, and cannot be combined with any other special. Standard terms and conditions apply.
Honeymoon
Honeymoon couples receive 25 per cent off per couple on a minimum three-night stay. Travel must fall within six months of the wedding date and a wedding certificate is required for the offer to apply. The offer cannot be combined with any other special, and standard terms and conditions apply.
Family
Children aged 0 to 2 sharing with one or two adults stay free of charge, and children aged 3 to 12 sharing with one or two adults are charged at 50 per cent of the adult rate; guests aged 13 and over pay adult rates. A maximum of four children may share a room, and families or groups of four or more are allocated an exclusive-use safari vehicle. The Timbavati conservation levy is charged separately for children aged 3 to 12.
