You Should Know
- A maximum of one child per room can be accommodated. Children sharing a room with their parents are limited to ground-floor rooms only during the period from December 20 to January 6 and are therefore subject to availability during this time.
- 0–3 years: Child stays free of charge if accommodated in a cot and sharing with parents.
- 4–12 years: Child pays a supplement if sharing with parents.
- 13 years and older: Child must be accommodated in a separate room.
The Detail
Only 15 kilometers away from the V&A Waterfront and on the Cape Peninsula route, the hotel is within easy reach of popular Cape Town attractions. Close by is the upmarket shopping precinct of Cavendish Square, local arts and crafts facilities, the world-famous Kirstenbosch Gardens, and the Constantia Winelands.
The hotel comprises 208 rooms, suites, and cottages spread across the estate, offering views of the courtyard water gardens, treed parkland, and mountain landscape. Each room has a king or twin beds, an en-suite bathroom with a separate bath and shower, a Nespresso coffee station, and other standard amenities.
Courtyard Rooms
Fifty-nine Courtyard Standard Rooms are featured across three floors, amidst the shady tree-lined courtyard garden and water features.
Fifty-five Courtyard Deluxe Rooms are situated in the quiet, green tree-fern garden, surrounded by fountains and canals.
Cottages
Six cottages are located on both Liesbeek River banks, offering private, apartment-style self-catering units away from the main hotel. These cottages feature views of the working vineyard, riverbank gardens, bridges, and the terraced slopes of the hotel manor house. Each unit includes two bedrooms (one king and one twin), two bathrooms, a kitchenette, an open-plan dining/lounge area, and either a balcony or patio—making this an ideal option for families.
Suites
The Vineyard’s 26 Luxury and Junior Suites are located in some of the hotel’s most picturesque settings. These suites feature spaciously designed multi-room and open-plan interiors, separate en-suites, lounge and living areas, as well as private sundecks, balconies, or large picture windows. Each suite includes an en-suite bathroom with a separate bath and shower, with spacious lounge areas for added comfort.
Mountain-Facing Rooms
Sixty-two mountain-facing rooms are located across three floors, overlooking the lawns and gardens with a unique view of the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. These are among the hotel’s most popular "rooms with a view."

The hotel boasts a wellness studio, fitness center, spa, jogging route, children’s activities, two restaurants, a garden lounge, and two cafés.
The Square Restaurant
The 100-seater Square Restaurant serves buffet breakfasts, à la carte lunches, and themed dinners. It features a dedicated sushi chef and a Kids’ Menu.
Myoga Restaurant
Myoga Restaurant, an independently owned 100-seater "cuisinerie," offers an eclectic menu blending local and global influences. Lunch is casually sophisticated, with lighter meal mains and indulgent desserts. For serious food lovers, the evening menu includes a seven-course dinner or wine-pairing options, featuring innovative dishes paired with superb Cape wines.
The Garden Lounge and Patio
The Garden Lounge and Patio is an informal venue overlooking the gardens and mountain, serving light meals and refreshments throughout the day, both indoors and outdoors. Guests can enjoy options like fish and chips, gourmet burgers, sandwiches, salads, or an indulgent Afternoon Tea with cakes, pastries, and savories. A quiet cup of coffee is also served in the Daniell Room and Library.
