You Should Know
- Children over the age of 7 are most welcome at The Wallow Lodge.
- Children aged 7–16 years (inclusive) will be accommodated at 50% of the adult sharing rate.
- As The Wallow Lodge is unfenced and located in a wilderness area, it is not recommended that children younger than 16 years occupy a room on their own without an older sibling or adult present.
The Detail
The Wallow Lodge is situated in a private game reserve, peacefully nestled in the heart of the Victoria Falls National Park.
The tented camp is set along the banks of the Masuwe River, surrounded by 4,500 acres of wilderness that stretches into the horizon, where a cloud of mist from the ‘Mosi-Au-Tunya’ commands the skyline.
Victoria Falls is a short twenty-minute transfer from the lodge, giving guests the freedom to tailor their experience and find a balance between the exclusivity of the bush and the excitement of Africa’s Adventure Capital.
Enchanting and intimate, the sixteen suites are ideally situated to overlook the Masuwe River and surrounding wilderness. The imaginative use of canvas preserves the romance of yesteryear with a classic safari atmosphere, accentuated by all the modern creature comforts. Each room is raised beneath the shade of ancient riverine trees. From this elevated vantage point, guests can enjoy uninterrupted views of the river from their private balcony.
Sustainable technology such as solar power, environmentally friendly decking, and non-disposable products ensure that every journey leaves a light footprint on the land. The lodge is a return to life's simple pleasures and meaningful moments in a beautiful natural setting.

Long stay
The three-night package at The Wallow Lodge combines a three-night all-inclusive stay with scheduled arrival and departure airport transfers from Victoria Falls or Livingstone, plus one complimentary bonus activity of your choice: a 12 or 13-minute Helicopter Flight of Angels, white water rafting, a Chobe day trip or the Malachite dinner cruise. The Rainforest entry fee for the Tour of the Falls, the Sustainability and Conservation Levy and the bonus activity park fees and fuel levy are payable in addition. The package is not combinable with other Wild Horizons specials or packages.
Family
Children aged 7 to 16 inclusive sharing with adults are charged at 50 per cent of the adult sharing price. Children under 7 are not accepted unless the whole lodge is booked, there are no family rooms, and two standard double rooms are fitted with a roll-away bed to sleep two adults and one child. The lodge is unfenced and the plunge pools are neither fenced nor supervised, so children remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times.
