Itinerary

Day 1 - 3: Moremi Game Reserve

Today you will fly from Maun to the beautiful Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana. Moremi Game Reserve sits within the Okavango Delta - one of the world's most famous safari destinations - for very good reason. The Big 5 is often spotted throughout the reserve as well as the famous wild dog, an incredible array of antelope and range of big cats. This selection of wildlife against the incredible backdrop of the waterways, forests and plains of Moremi Game Reserve is a bucket list trip for anyone that has the great fortune of visiting.

Your lodge for your stay is the elegant Khwai Leadwood camp. This beautiful camp is tucked under the trees on the edge of the Khwai River. This river is all that separates the iconic Moremi Game Reserve and the concession, with hippos, elephants and even lions crossing over from time to time.

Khwai’s biggest drawcard is undoubtedly the plentiful and extraordinary wildlife – you’ll never be bored here! Adventure and relaxation are on offer as guests live out their ultimate safari experience – from setting off on a morning walking safari to enjoying a gin and tonic overlooking the Khwai River.

Activities during your stay here:

- Open vehicle morning & evening game drives

- Guided bush walks

- Bird watching

- Cultural tours

- Mokoro (dugout canoe) safaris (dependent on water levels).

Day 4 - 6: An Authentic Safari Experience in the Chobe Enclave

This area provides a remote and high quality safari experience along the scenic Linyanti River, with guest accommodation in a handful of earthy camps and offering a wide range of wet and dry safari activities.

Your lodge for the next 3 nights is Linyanti Bush Camp, situated in the Chobe Enclave. The Chobe Enclave teems with wildlife and is best known for its large herds of elephants and buffalo. Linyanti Bush Camp sits on the banks of the Linyanti Wetlands – a significant area that is one of the primary sources of water during the drier months. Look forward to exceptional and diverse wildlife encounters year-round.

Activities during your stay here:

- Game drives

- Walking safaris

- Game viewing from hides

- Bird watching

- Guided mokoro safaris when water levels permit.

Your stay in Victoria Falls is to be nothing short of magical. Thorntree River Lodge is one of our most raved about lodges due to its beautiful design, incredible location and magic service. Thanks Pascal you are amazing!
From the moment we arrived in South Africa, our safari adventure was nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled in the heart of the African wilderness, we found ourselves surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes of Kruger National Park, a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. Our accommodation was luxurious yet seamlessly integrated into the natural environment, offering us stunning views of the savannah from the comfort of our private deck. Each day began with an exhilarating sunrise game drive, where our expert guide shared his deep knowledge and passion for the local wildlife. Witnessing the "Big Five" was an awe-inspiring experience that left us in complete awe of nature's magnificence. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and made sure we felt safe while immersing ourselves in the wilderness. Evenings were equally enchanting, with sundowner drinks enjoyed against the backdrop of a fiery African sunset, followed by sumptuous dinners under the starlit sky. The cuisine was a delightful fusion of local flavors and gourmet dishes, perfectly complementing the day's adventures. The sense of community at the lodge was heartwarming. The staff were attentive, ensuring every need was met with a smile, and fellow travelers quickly became friends as we shared stories around the campfire. Our South African safari was more than just a holiday; it was a transformative journey that connected us with nature and left us with lasting memories. For anyone seeking an adventure that combines luxury, education, and unparalleled wildlife encounters, a safari in South Africa is an absolute must. We left with hearts full of gratitude and a profound appreciation for the natural world, eagerly planning our return to this magnificent land.

7-nights Safari
I made a reservation for a 7-night safari trip to two specific Private Game Reserves in the Kruger National Park in South Africa, for one of the busiest months in Kruger: August. This reservation was made at the last minute. (3 days ago). A reservation that had some special features, with choices from someone who has already done (my husband and I) several safaris in other African countries. The architecture and design of the lodges are important to us on a professional level. And the Private Game Reserves had to be the best. Anja Meyer, from Safari.com, started and completed the reservation process in 4 days, two of which were weekends. Very efficient, fast and understanding what we wanted for our week in the bush. We are "addicted" to safaris, wildlife, bush, landscapes, nature... and we love Africa and the Africans. We can't wait for August to arrive. Thank you!

My first experience a number of months…
My first experience a number of months back wasn't as I wanted. I picked up with Dolan a little after this to find when the best time to Safari was with the chance of seeing the "big 5" and he was so helpful, guiding me to July-September. With the cooler winter months being the better chances to see more wildlife and the big five. This lead me on to deal with Jayson. Jayson has pulled out all the stops, working past 9pm Cape Town time( 8pm London UK) to help meet my needs. I travel out on 6th July and cannot wait, Thank you Dolan and Jayson. I've had last minute questions and requests right before and during our trip and she always responds with record time and helps us out. I feel all of our needs have been met and I couldn't be happier with Sara as our travel representative! Highly recommend her! :)
