Itinerary

Day 1-2: Kruger National Park

Your journey begins with a scheduled flight from Johannesburg to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. Upon landing, you will be warmly greeted for a private transfer to Lukimbi Safari Lodge in the famous Kruger National Park, approximately a 1 hour and 55 minute drive away. You will spend the following two nights at the lodge. Upon arrival, take some time to settle in before an afternoon game drive.

Lukimbi is situated in the game-rich southern section of the world-renowned Kruger National Park. Bounded by three major river systems, the extensive 15,000-hectare area offers a diverse array of habitats. The vast grasslands dominate the northern portion, whereas the southern and central areas are more heavily wooded and interspersed with lush riverine thickets. Relaxation can be spent lazing around the pool or indulging in one of the many spa treatments the on-site spa has to offer.

Day 3-4: Sabi Sand Game Reserve

Enjoy an early morning game drive before breakfast. You will then be transferred to the Sabi Sand Game Reserve by road to arrive at Idube Game Reserve by lunchtime. This is the heart of South Africa’s premier wildlife conservation area of the Greater Kruger Park. Game, including the Big Five, is viewed really close by from open Land Rovers or spotted on guided walks. The experienced rangers and trackers are trained to give guests the best possible wildlife experience.

Head out on morning and afternoon game drives; animal sightings are professionally handled and controlled. Drives are normally 3 to 4 hours long, with a stop along the way for tea, coffee, or sundowners. Idube is particularly well known for the frequent and excellent sightings of leopards, a photographer’s dream come true. An optional morning guided walk is offered, or you may choose to relax around the pool or indulge in a spa treatment in the privacy of your own suite next to your private plunge pool.

Day 5: Perfect Safari Ending

A morning game drive followed by breakfast will be a perfect ending to your extraordinary Kruger Park and Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve adventure. You will be transferred back to Nelspruit Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport for your flight to Johannesburg. Additional accommodation before and at the end of the tour can be arranged at extra cost.
