Itinerary
Your African safari adventure begins as you take a road transfer with a professional driver from Johannesburg to Madikwe Game Reserve and onto Tuningi Safari Lodge.
Depending on your time of arrival, you may have time to explore the lodge facilities and enjoy a sumptuous lunch before venturing out into the bush on your first-afternoon game drive, in search of the endangered wild dog. Madikwe Game Reserve offers unique typography and is a photographer's paradise, so be sure to have your camera ready as you come up close for some perfect shots including the most magnificent sunset you will ever see.
On your return, you will be greeted by a perfectly prepared dinner served under a canopy of stars. End the evening with a sumptuous dessert and a nightcap before bidding farewell to the simmering fire to the calling of your suite.
In the morning, you will gather in the dining area as you enjoy a freshly brewed cup of tea or coffee, before heading back into the bush on a morning safari. Game drives are generally 3 -4 hours in duration with a stop en-route to stretch the legs and enjoy a refreshment. When you return to your lodge, breakfast is served and is followed by some free time to relax in your suite or beside the pool. For the more adventurous travellers, we recommend guided bush walks that are sure to heighten your senses as you discover the smaller creatures and enjoy the trees and stunning scenery.
Later in the afternoon, you will venture back into the bush for another afternoon game drive, hopeful of seeing an abundance of wildlife that are most active at night. Experience yet another beautiful sunset whilst enjoying your favourite drink and return to camp for another decadent dinner.

Great planning and service
Great planning and service, and everything worked like clockwork. We booked an Inyari Lodge safari with air with Safari.com. it wasn't clear if there will be 2 or three of us, so with Candis' help we booked a family chalet for 2 and added the third later when it was confirmed he can come. Candis put us on flights that maximized our game drive time (unlike some of the other guests) so we got all 6 drives in 3 nights. The lodge was great. Especially the game drives. We saw more than we hoped for. Additionally, Safari.com's insurance was very competitive. Highly recommended.

Fantastic travel agent for African safari family trip!
Wow! Shann was and is fantastic! She figured out a way to make our entire trip work. We are going on a 2 week trip to South Africa and Botswana. She really helped tie it all together as a wonderful, cohesive trip. She is super nice and super smart and very knowledgeable. She is also flexible and thoughtful, etc., etc. When the chips were down (and we literally were considering pulling the plug on the whole trip), she found a way to make the entire itinerary work and got us excited about our wonderful adventure!
