Your African safari adventure begins as you take a road transfer with a professional driver from Johannesburg to Madikwe Game Reserve and onto Tuningi Safari Lodge.
Depending on your time of arrival, you may have the opportunity to explore the lodge facilities and enjoy a sumptuous lunch before venturing out into the bush on your first-afternoon game drive, in search of the endangered wild dog. Madikwe Game Reserve offers unique typography and is a photographer's paradise, so be sure to have your camera ready as you capture some perfect shots including the most magnificent sunset you will ever see.
On your return, you will be greeted by a perfectly prepared dinner served under a canopy of stars. End the evening with a sumptuous dessert and a nightcap before bidding farewell to the simmering fire and retiring to your suite.
In the morning, gather in the dining area to enjoy a freshly brewed cup of tea or coffee before heading back into the bush on a morning safari. Game drives are generally 3-4 hours in duration with a stop en-route to stretch the legs and enjoy a refreshment. When you return to your lodge, breakfast is served, followed by some free time to relax in your suite or beside the pool. For the more adventurous travelers, we recommend guided bush walks that are sure to heighten your senses as you discover smaller creatures and enjoy the trees and stunning scenery.

Leigh-Ann from Safari.com was great to work with to plan our group safari trip. She was able to get me on the priority waitlist for a lodge that I liked, which ended up working out for our group during my preferred dates. Leigh-Ann was responsive and provided various tour recommendations for us to decide on the best option for us. There were a few email and name typos from Leigh-Ann that I had to correct, but other than that, I had a great experience.

Dolan was terrific
Dolan was terrific. He got back to us immediately to answer all of our questions. And was so nice to hold a room for a couple of days because of my moms passing. It gave us time to finalize her arrangements and time to book our trip. I would highly recommend using him to book your trip!!

Went through Newmarket travel and Hays…
Went through Newmarket travel and Hays travel ..information about flight changes hard to get..but on arrival the holiday was taken over Safari.com..amazing ..experience everything was fine tuned and the staff ..guides drivers fabulous and friendly ..lots of knowledge..lots of fun and the surprises they did was so lovely ...loved every minute ..Paris our guide was amazing..10/10 and Eric driver ..the waiters and waitress every and everyone in the hotels .smiling and friendly..Best holiday of my life
