This safari will take you deep into the heart of the private Thrnybush Game Reserve, ideal for families and couples to create an unforgettable experience. As it is located next to the Timbavati River, you will have ample opportunities for exciting interactions with the wildlife of the Greater Kruger.
Your adventure starts in Johannesburg as you embark on a flight bound for Hoedspruit.
Upon landing, a representative will escort you to the Shimungwe Lodge.
On arrival, the hosts will welcome you, facilitating a seamless check-in process before guiding you to your suite. Take a moment to unwind and acclimate to your surroundings, soaking in the picturesque vista from your balcony overlooking the waterhole. Once refreshed, guests can move to the dining area for lunch before preparing for an evening game drive, immersing in the sights and sounds of the bush. Afterwards, indulge in a delectable gourmet dinner prepared by the lodge's in-house chef.
Begin each morning with an exciting game drive, offering the best chance to observe wildlife in their natural habitat during their most active hours, followed by a sumptuous breakfast. Spend the following 3 days unwinding at the lodge, taking advantage of optional activities, or simply relaxing amidst the tranquil surroundings.
As the afternoons roll in, embark on a game drive or opt for an armchair safari around the waterhole, complete with refreshing sundowner drinks to enhance the experience.

Outstanding and professional performance by Pascal John
Pascal John quickly proved his professionalism as well as his in-depth and experienced knowledge of South Africa safaris. He demonstrated the ability to rapidly understand what I was looking for out of a safari trip and how to make that happen. He added real value to the process with his connections to lodging reservations at various lodges and arranged for an itinerary that is not possible to accomplish by oneself on the internet alone. For example, he was able to negotiate away for me a single supplement. He added immediate value and quickly/painlessly everything came together.
