Your African journey begins as you focus on a four-day safari in Madikwe Game Reserve. Madikwe is a malaria-free reserve and although it is one of the lesser-known parks in South Africa, it is regarded as one of the best conservation areas in Africa. During your stay at the luxurious Madikwe Safari Lodge, morning and afternoon game drives will offer the privilege of possibly seeing the Big 5 and the highly endangered African Wild Dog who thrive in this spectacular reserve.

This tour is ideal for couples, individuals seeking adventure and families: Children of all ages are welcome at Madikwe Safari Lodge with a special children's programme in place to entertain them.
South Africa welcomes you as you arrive at Johannesburg’s OR Tambo Airport. You will be met and taken to a nearby hangar where you will take a short charter flight to Madikwe Game Reserve. After settling into your beautifully appointed suite and meeting with your professional guide, you head out on your first exhilarating afternoon game drive. With approximately three and a half hours of off-road game driving and a sundowner experience, you head back to the lodge for an evening of outdoor dining.
The next two days welcome thrilling game drives with morning and afternoon game drives, as well as the option of bush walks and family drives after breakfast. Bush walks offer a unique experience as your senses are heightened with every twig snapping and the distinct smell of the plants and trees. In between safari activities, you are welcome to relax in your suite or out on the expansive deck that looks onto the reserve.

After your final morning game drive and a heart-warming breakfast, you will transfer to the airstrip and travel back to Johannesburg. Once you arrive you will check in for your scheduled flight to Cape Town. On arrival in Cape Town, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your time of arrival, you may be able to scale Table Mountain or explore the V&A Waterfront. You will have a full day tomorrow to explore the “Mother City”.

It was a great experience dealing with Shann. She was most accommodating and patient. We managed to sort things out very eventually. The only sore point I have is the 2 % surcharge for the card handling fee, which I find too excessive. Otherwise, I am pleased with everything.

Trip to Kruger at Mdluli Safari Lodge
I loved working with Anja from safari.com. She put together my itinerary within my price range and was very professional, thorough and empathetic. She followed up with me many times to see if I needed anything throughout my trip and even filled out some forms for me when I was having difficulty. When the lodge I stayed at was not being accommodating in the slightest, she quickly contacted the manager and got them to rearrange their services to meet my needs. I would most certainly use safari.com again due to my wonderful experience working with Anja.

I would love to share my experience with Nicole. She has worked tirelessly to help me make my dream vacation a reality. I had no idea how to start planning. Nicole suggested the most wonderful South African resorts and safaris. No matter how many changes I threw her way it was always received with a happy, positive attitude. I live in Hawaii and even though we were on a 12 hour time difference she was always available to answer any questions or concerns. Her expertise, knowledge and patience are unmeasurable. I was plagued with numerous payment issues from my bank in Hawaii. Nicole never wavered from being patience and more importantly positive that we could resolve each issue and get my trip booked.
