Itinerary

Day 1: Johannesburg to Jock Safari Lodge

Your journey begins with a scheduled flight from Johannesburg to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. On landing, you will be warmly greeted for a private transfer to Jock Safari Lodge. Located in 6,000 hectares of untouched African bushveld within the Kruger National Park, where the legendary exclusive Big 5 game viewing opportunity awaits you with its exclusive riverbed traversing rights.

Settle into your secluded thatched suite, offering utter privacy, veiled with lush trees and reed walls. Each leads on to a private deck with plunge pool and a Sala, an outdoor daybed, all with a spectacular view of the riverbed

In the afternoon you will head out with your guide and tracker for a game drive through the reserve in search of wildlife including the Big 5. Expect an uninterrupted game-viewing experience in an untouched African wilderness. Arrive back at the lodge in time to freshen up before enjoying a sumptuous dinner.

Day 2 & 3: Kruger National Park Game Drives & Relaxation

An early morning wake up call starts the day, followed by a freshly brewed cup of tea or coffee and rusks before setting off on a morning game drive.

Morning and evening drives are performed in covered 4×4 Land Cruisers conducted by highly experienced rangers. Traversing through the concession, the wildlife is sometimes staggering in its diversity. Enthralling sightings of elephants, prides of lions as well as a sea of buffalo horns rising from the grass as they lie resting in the growing heat, awaits one.

Relaxation can be spent lazing around the pool or indulging in one of the many spa treatments to awaken your senses and allow your body, mind and soul  to be rejuvenated.

Later in the afternoon, you will head out on your afternoon game drive, which may continue beyond dusk, and return back to the lodge to enjoy dinner and reminisce about the day’s sightings.

Day 4: Departure

After one final game drive and a warm heartening breakfast, you bid farewell to the African bush as you transfer back to the airport in time to catch your flight back to Johannesburg's OR Tambo Airport. Here, you will connect with your onward travel arrangements.
