10-Day Exclusive Safari: Tanzania to Kenya

Day 1: Welcome to Arusha

Your adventure begins upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). After clearing customs, perhaps utilising the optional VIP meet-and-greet service for a more relaxed entry, you will be transferred to the charming Katambuga House. 

Nestled in a quiet area of Arusha, you’ll spend your first night in a Standard Room on a Bed & Breakfast basis, allowing you to rest and prepare for the safari ahead.

Day 2: Into the Serengeti

The next morning, you will head to the Arusha Airstrip for a morning flight into the heart of the wild. You’ll touch down at Kogatende Airstrip, where the vast Northern Serengeti awaits. 

After a warm welcome, you will head out on a shared game drive before settling into Nasikia Mobile. Your home for the next few nights is a classic Safari Tent featuring authentic bucket showers.

Day 3: Exploring the Northern Plains

This day is dedicated entirely to the wonders of the Northern Serengeti. You will set out on shared game drives to track the region's diverse wildlife, which may include the Great Migration depending on the season. 

Between excursions, you can soak in the atmosphere of the bush at Nasikia Mobile, enjoying the immersive experience of a mobile camp designed to keep you close to the action.

Day 4: High Skies and Wild Encounters

Today offers another full day of exploration through the Serengeti's golden grasslands. For a truly unforgettable perspective, you have the option to begin your morning with a hot air balloon safari, drifting over the plains at sunrise. 

Whether by air or by land on your shared game drives, the day promises incredible sightings before you return to your Safari Tent at Nasikia Mobile for the evening.

Day 5: Final Serengeti Immersion

Enjoy a final full day of shared game drives in the Northern Serengeti. This is a perfect opportunity to check off any species you haven't yet spotted and to appreciate the raw beauty of the Tanzanian wilderness. 

Your last night at Nasikia Mobile provides a final chance to enjoy a traditional safari experience under the stars before crossing the border tomorrow.

Day 6: Crossing into the Masai Mara

This day marks your transition from Tanzania to Kenya. After an early transfer to Kogatende Airstrip, you’ll board a flight that includes brief stops in Tarime and Migori to clear customs and immigration. 

Arriving in the Masai Mara, you’ll dive straight into a shared game drive in the National Park. Your Kenyan journey begins at Basecamp Mara.

Day 7: The Heart of the Mara

Wake up to the sounds of the African bush in the world-renowned Masai Mara. The day is spent on shared game drives, navigating the rolling hills and riverine forests that provide a sanctuary for the Big Five and countless other species. 

Return to Basecamp Mara in the evening, a camp known for its strong connection to the local Maasai community and conservation efforts.

Day 8: Deepening the Discovery

Enjoy another deep dive into the Masai Mara’s rich ecosystem. With the expertise of your guides, you’ll spend the day on shared game drives looking for cheetahs on the hunt or hippos lounging in the Mara River. 

It is a day to soak in the sheer density of wildlife that makes this park famous worldwide, followed by a final night in your Safari Tent at Basecamp Mara.

Day 9: Return to Nairobi

It’s time to head back to civilisation. After a morning transfer to the airstrip, you’ll fly from the Masai Mara, arriving at Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. From there, a transfer will take you to Ole Sereni, a hotel uniquely positioned overlooking the Nairobi National Park. 

Spend your final night in a Cosy Room, enjoying the blend of city comfort and park views.

Day 10: Journey Home

After breakfast, you will be transferred from Ole Sereni to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO JKIA) for your onward flight. To ensure a smooth departure, you may opt for the VIP assistance service at the airport, providing a stress-free end to your incredible 10-day East African expedition.
