The Detail
Mount Kilimanjaro creates the most magnificent backdrop to the Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge resort, standing at 6,000 meters high. As you arrive at the lodge, you will observe a unique effort dedicated to conserving the fragile environment of the African bush. Guests are invited to plant a tree to assist in reestablishing a forest that had been diminished by the herds of elephants tearing up trees for food.
The lodge blends seamlessly into the landscape, built with conservation in mind by incorporating eco-friendly and sustainable building materials. Each of the 96 bedrooms is uniquely designed, featuring African murals painted by local artists, Maasai crafts, and motifs that bring the spirit of Africa into each living space. The rooms also offer uninterrupted views of the savannah and breathtaking African sunsets. Additionally, the swimming pool is filled with fresh water sourced from a spring flowing from Mount Kilimanjaro.

"Our contact at Safari.com was fantastic. She was able to answer all my questions, or find and out then text me back. Communication using email and WhatsApp was excellent. While planning our trip we had a large change and Denise was able to work with our Safari lodge to find a solution, which solved it. Booking went smoothly, suggestions about the trip were very helpful and I felt I was working with a professional who wanted the best experience for my family."
