The Details
Lodge
Angama Mara is strategically located on the Oloololo Escarpment, offering panoramic vistas of the Mara Triangle below. The lodge's architecture draws inspiration from the Maasai's red ochre homes, featuring red brickwork and expansive glass fronts that invite the surrounding landscape indoors. Guests can enjoy a range of activities, from guided walking safaris with Maasai naturalists to relaxing massages on private decks.
Tented Suites
Each of the 30 tented suites spans over 100 square meters and is designed to maximise the breathtaking views. The suites feature floor-to-ceiling glass fronts, polished parquet floors, and spacious wooden decks. Guests can indulge in in-tent dining, private massages, and the unique experience of a "red rocking chair safari," observing wildlife from the comfort of their deck.
Patty's tent
Patty’s Tent is a specially designed accessible tented suite that ensures guests with physical limitations can enjoy the luxury and beauty of the Maasai Mara without compromise. It features spacious, clutter-free design, grab rails, gentle ramps, and clear paths for easy movement.
Despite accessibility modifications, it offers all the comforts of a standard suite, including a super king-size bed, soaking bathtub, indoor/outdoor shower, Wi-Fi, and a personalized drinks cabinet. The private wooden deck provides stunning views and space for dining or relaxation.
Dining Experiences
Angama Mara offers diverse dining options that cater to every preference. Guests can enjoy meals in various settings, including:
- In-tent breakfasts on private decks
- Brunches and lunches at the Guest Area or poolside at the Pavilion
- Dinners in a lantern-lit forest, on the baraza overlooking the Mara, in the Library, or a candlelit meal in the Tented Suite
The culinary team emphasises fresh, locally sourced ingredients, ensuring each meal is a delightful experience.
