We recognize that one of the big questions in your mind prior to booking a safari holiday during the Covid-19 pandemic is that of whether or not you will be able to travel at the time of your holiday. It is and has always been our aim to ensure that we provide our guests what it is they need.To that end we have introduced more relaxed terms and conditions in order to provide you with peace of mind in booking your 2021 safari holidays.Whilst uncertainty does exist about when international travel will open up to the different countries in Africa, and from different countries around the world, these terms and conditions will allow you to ensure that this uncertainty doesn't cause you to miss out on availability for your 2021 safari, whilst still providing you with the necessary flexibility.

Covid-19 relaxed terms and conditions

Money back guarantee - Free cancellation

New bookings made between 1 July 2021 and 14 October 2021, for travel in 2021 will activate the following, relaxed terms and conditions on all accommodation and transfer elements of bookings (excluding flights).61+ Days before travel0% Cancellation feesFree amendments (supplier reliant)*These updated terms only apply to an inability to travel due to Covid-19 due to issues such as travel bans or government instituted quarantines or lockdowns. This is to be distinguished from a disinclination to travel due to Covid-19.The above terms and conditions are exclusive of airline tickets and related taxes due to the fact that Safari.com cannot guarantee the facilitation of refunds from airlines at this time.

Complete flexibility (amendments)

For new bookings made between 1 August and 14 October 2021, all accommodation and transfer arrangements can be amended up to 60 days prior to travel.The amendment will be free of charge, however, should the supplier rate differ in your new travel period/date (supplier dependent), you may be required to settle the difference in cost between the original rate booked and the rate that applies to the new travel dates. This is most likely when shifting travel dates from a 'low season' period to a 'peak' period.

Insurance

Whilst Safari.com does not offer travel insurance directly and whilst standard travel insurance has not covered costs arising due to Covid-19, we strongly believe that good travel insurance protects you from most standard circumstances that may arise before and during your trip.Our preferred partner for travel insurance is 1 Earth travel insurance, who you can get a quote from directly. Went through Newmarket travel and Hays…
Went through Newmarket travel and Hays travel ..information about flight changes hard to get..but on arrival the holiday was taken over Safari.com..amazing ..experience everything was fine tuned and the staff ..guides drivers fabulous and friendly ..lots of knowledge..lots of fun and the surprises they did was so lovely ...loved every minute ..Paris our guide was amazing..10/10 and Eric driver ..the waiters and waitress every and everyone in the hotels .smiling and friendly..Best holiday of my life

Anja at Safari.com was a great partner to work with!
Working with Anja at Safari.com was great. She was able to work some magic and got us a few nights at the safari lodge we really wanted, Ngoma. Unfortunately, our flight from the USA to South Africa was canceled and we were rebooked a day later but Anja was great about making sure our lodge and the transports knew about the change in plans and made sure we got to our trip as soon as we could. She was a great partner to have and communicated quickly whenever we reached out. I would highly recommend using her when planning a trip to Africa!
