Notable exceptions
- Children are welcomed at the lodge for direct stays. The "no children under 10" restriction applies only to the scheduled group tours that feature Damara Mopane Lodge (the 10 Days Namibian Highlights Tour and 7 Days Northern Namibian Adventure Tour), not to independent lodge bookings. Family-friendly configurations are available via 5 sets of inter-leading twin bungalows plus 1 set of wheelchair-friendly inter-leading twins. Shuttle transfer conditions: children under 13 may not travel alone and must be accompanied by an adult over 18; all children must occupy their own seat (car seats available on request).

A visit to the Damara Living Museum, included as a structured excursion on the day guests stay at Damara Mopane Lodge. This living museum showcases traditional Damara culture, practices, and heritage in an immersive, hands-on setting.
