You Should Know
- Dunia welcomes children aged 5 years and older. A private safari vehicle is offered to families of four or more during the low season. During the high season, families with children under 12 are required to use a private game-viewing vehicle at an additional cost.
The Detail
Dunia, located in Tanzania’s central Serengeti, is perfectly positioned for wildlife spotting. During the annual Great Migration, guests can watch giant herds of wildebeest moving through the area right from the camp. Further afield, you may spot lions using the granite boulders of Moru Kopjes to scan the plains for prey.
Eight spacious tents overlook the Serengeti National Park’s vast golden plains. Relax on your private terrace or in the open-sided main tent with a chilled gin and tonic, and soak in the peace and stillness. Start your day with an unforgettable hot-air balloon ride over the plains, and end it with a magical dining experience under the stars in the bush.
The food at Dunia is prepared by on-site chefs. Begin your morning with a hearty cooked breakfast on the deck overlooking the Serengeti plains. Alternatively, enjoy breakfast upon returning from your game drive or opt for a packed breakfast to savor in the bush.
Lunch can be enjoyed as a light buffet at the camp or packed up for those who prefer to spend a full day out exploring the wilderness. After the evening game drive, a relaxed dinner is served at the camp, or you can choose a special bush dinner under the stars.

Last minute
Guests booking travel that begins within six weeks receive a guaranteed 25 per cent saving on rack accommodation rates, available year-round to international travellers. It may be combined with our other offers with the exception of the seven-night all-Asilia transfer offer and the Stay Longer discount.
Long stay
Stay Longer: five or more nights across Asilia camps earn a 15 per cent saving in Green and Low season and 7 per cent in High season, rising to 25 per cent and 15 per cent respectively for eight or more nights. Nights need not be consecutive, and July and August are excluded; otherwise the offer applies year-round. Alternatively, a circuit of seven or more consecutive nights at Asilia camps, with a minimum of two adults and at least two nights at each camp, includes all in-country transfers on shared scheduled flights and road transfers, with city transfers immediately before or after the qualifying nights also included. The seven-night transfer offer excludes private charters and cannot be combined with other offers apart from the repeat guest discount, and cross-border travel is permitted only between the Masai Mara and the Serengeti. Guests who have stayed at an Asilia camp before receive a further 5 per cent off the accommodation rate, combinable with all other offers.
Family
Children aged 5 to 18 sharing with adults pay 50 per cent of the accommodation rate, and in Green and Low season one child of 18 or under sharing an adult's tent stays free. Families of five or more travelling with children aged 5 to 12 receive a complimentary private vehicle on a game package basis, as do smaller families with children of that age in Green and Low season, pre-booked and subject to availability; in High season, families of fewer than five with children aged 5 to 12 must pre-book a private vehicle at the usual rate. Children under 5 are not accommodated other than on an exclusive-use basis by prior arrangement, children under 12 must share with an adult, and park, conservation and camping fees remain payable. This offer cannot be combined with the seven-night all-Asilia transfer offer.

Dunia Camp welcomes children from age 5 and offers a family-sized tent with separate bedrooms (one of eight en-suite tents is configured for family use). Private-vehicle rules apply to families with children aged 5–12: in high season, families of fewer than 5 pax must pre-book a private vehicle at normal rates (if unavailable, the booking may not be accommodated); in low/green season, families of fewer than 5 pax with children 5–12 receive a private vehicle free of charge subject to availability; year-round, families with children 5–12 receive a complimentary private vehicle for every 5 pax in the family, pre-booked and subject to availability.

Although a rep for Safari.com said a letter from a doctor was not required, such a letter IS REQUIRED to go on bush walks if older than 65. Fortunately, we checked the reserve web site and had a doctor's letter."
