This lodge accepts children from the age of 12 years old.
Notes:
- The adult sharing rate applies to a child (12–16 years) sharing with a single adult.
- Should three children (12–16) share one suite, the adult sharing rate applies to the first two children.
The Details
The suite features a spacious bedroom with an en-suite bathroom (including a bath, toilet, and shower), a separate lounge with tea and coffee-making facilities, a minibar, a cozy fireplace, a Smart TV for in-room entertainment, a room safe, and air conditioning.
The spacious suites open out onto a private outside deck with outdoor showers overlooking Walker Bay.

Child rates
Children 12+ only at Forest Lodge. Children 12–16 on sleeper couch in lounge pay child rate. Max 2 children on sleeper couch. Children of any age in their own bedroom pay full adult rate. Adult-sharing rate applies when a 12–16-year-old shares with a single adult; if three children share one suite, adult-sharing rate applies to the first two.
Notable exceptions
- Forest Lodge itself accepts children from age 12 only — younger children must instead stay at the sister property Garden Lodge, which accepts all ages and houses the Explorer Programme (from age 4) and childminders. There is no family suite at Forest Lodge (Two-Bedroom Family Suites exist at Garden Lodge only). Children under 12 visiting the reserve are limited to guided pony rides rather than horse riding; horse-riding weight limit is 90 kg / 198 lbs.
