Well-positioned and recently renovated, Kambaku is a cozy holiday lodge with family-friendly facilities, perfect for an intimate stay in this stunning park.

Kambaku Safari Lodge accommodation features eight thatched chalets, complete with en-suite bathrooms, four-poster beds, mosquito net draping, lanterns for light, 220-volt power points, overhead fans, and gas geysers.

Guests at Kambaku Safari Lodge can enjoy thrilling morning and evening game drives in open Land Rovers, venturing into the rugged and untamed bush of the Limpopo Province bushveld. These drives are conducted and guided by a team of knowledgeable and experienced guides, all eager to answer questions and create a complete and authentic experience.

Facilities at Kambaku include a restaurant, swimming pool, laundry services, internet connectivity, and disabled access.

Notable exceptions

  • Kambaku Safari Lodge welcomes children of all ages and is fully fenced and family-orientated, with 3 dedicated family rooms and the included Kids Kubs Programme. Standard game drives are open to children 4 years and older; children under 4 may join drives only on a private vehicle (ZAR 15,500/day, additional cost). Bush walks remain restricted to guests aged 12 and over. Hide sleep-out: limited to 2 guests with no overnight babysitters available — children must be old enough to remain at the lodge unattended if parents wish to sleep out. Note: sister property Kambaku River Sands (5-star, unfenced) accepts children 12+ only and is not covered by this policy record.

Adventure Sleep-Out Hide

Kambaku's Adventure Sleep-Out Hide is a raised, three-tiered structure set on the banks of Nduna ('Old Wise Man') Dam, where abundant game come to drink. Guests arrive after dinner to enjoy a pre-bedtime drink under the stars, sleep in a super-sized bed open to the African night sky, and are collected by their guide for the morning drive. The hide features an en-suite bathroom with shower, flush toilet, gowns and slippers. It is charged in addition to accommodation and is weather-dependent, with payment on departure only.

Max 2 guests. Charged additional to lodge accommodation cost; cannot be booked independently of the lodge. Guests retain their lodge room while staying in the hide. No babysitters available overnight — children must be old enough to stay in the lodge unsupervised if parents wish to sleep out. Weather-dependent; payment on departure only (no pre-payment).
