The Details
Kirkman's Kamp offers a luxurious experience with a relaxed and social ambiance, making it the perfect destination for an authentic wildlife adventure. Originally constructed in the early 1920s, Kirkman's Kamp retains the charm of its homestead-era hospitality while providing modern comforts. The beautifully restored original homestead of Harry Kirkman sets the tone for a unique blend of history and luxury.
The camp features 18 elegantly appointed cottages, each offering stunning views of the bushveld and the lush lawns surrounding the lodge and swimming pool. Every cottage is tastefully decorated with nostalgic furniture and mementos and includes a modern en-suite bathroom complete with a claw-foot bath and separate shower. A private veranda offers the perfect spot to take in the breathtaking scenery.
Kirkman's Kamp also offers a range of facilities, including a swimming pool, library, open-air boma, safari shop, bar, dining area, wellness center, laundry service, child-minding services, and Wi-Fi access in the public areas. Whether you're a solo explorer, a couple, or a family, Kirkman's Kamp provides a luxurious and unforgettable safari getaway.

AndBeyond Kirkman's Kamp offers a honeymoon discount valid 11 Jan 2026 – 5 Jan 2027. One partner pays the full accommodation rate while the other partner pays 50% of the accommodation rate for the entire stay. A minimum 2-night stay is required, and the offer is valid for travel within 6 months of the date of marriage. A marriage certificate must be supplied. The offer does not apply to Family Cottages or Family Suites.

Child rates
Children of all ages welcome. 0-5 years stay free of charge sharing. Children 6-16 years sharing with an adult or child pay 50% of the adult rate. A single child in their own suite pays the full adult rate (2nd and 3rd children in own room at 50%).
Notable exceptions
- Children under 6 may join game drives only if a private vehicle is booked and paid for, and access remains at the guide's discretion. Children aged 6-11/12 may join drives at the guide's discretion, with a private vehicle recommended. A private vehicle must be booked for the entire stay and is not guaranteed unless 6 full-paying guests are travelling. Standard nature walks are open to children from 12; specialist walking safaris remain adults-only. The Family Cottage comprises 2 interleading rooms sleeping max 2 adults + 2 children, with a possible 3rd child accommodated in a cot — triple beds are not permitted in Kirkman's cottages. Note a minor discrepancy across andBeyond sources on the free-of-charge band: 2026 rack rates and Schedule A T&Cs state 0-5 years free, while the andBeyond sheet breaks this into 0-2 and 3-5 both free. Ngala Treehouse (separate product) only accepts children aged 10-16.
