The Detail
There are a total of 14 one-bedroom villas and 15 two-bedroom villas, along with a single Royal Sultan two-bedroom villa. All of these villa accommodations are thoughtfully designed to embody the essence of classic Swahili architecture, showcasing striking arches, traditional Baraza benches, and intricate hand-carved cement embellishments.
These generously sized villas boast opulent interiors adorned with exquisite fabrics, finely crafted furniture with intricate designs, and elegant brass lanterns. Additionally, the large bathrooms are equipped with luxurious fixtures, and each villa features a spacious terrace and a private plunge pool for guests to enjoy.

All honeymooners and milestone wedding anniversary guests (10, 15, 20, 25 years) at Baraza Resort & Spa receive standard amenities: a bottle of wine on arrival, sundowners served in the room on arrival, and 10% discount on PADI diving courses. Additionally, Baraza-specific extras include: for minimum 5 nights, a gift plus a complimentary 30-minute neck, back & shoulder massage; for minimum 7 nights, a gift plus one free scuba dive per person with equipment OR a 20% discount on any diving course (not combinable with the 10% standard discount). This offer is valid all year.

Notable exceptions
- Baraza is a family-friendly beach resort with no stated minimum age for stay (no game drives or walking safaris operate at this property — it is a Zanzibar beach resort, not a safari camp). Two-bedroom villas (Sultans, Garden View, Royal Beach) accommodate families with extra beds for children. The Baraza Kids Club operates year-round for potty-trained children aged 4–12 under supervision of trained minders. Babysitting is available on request at additional cost (shared service with sister property Breezes Beach Club). Exclusive use of the entire property (12 villas, up to 24 people) is available for families and groups, and exclusive-use bookings explicitly note "CHILDREN ALLOWED". Note: a minimum 5-night stay applies during the festive period (23 Dec 2026 – 08 Jan 2027), and New Year's Eve supplement age bands differ slightly between rate sheets.
