The Detail

There are just fifteen thatched Cottages at Chobe Chilwero, ensuring guests enjoy seclusion and tranquillity. Each spacious en-suite cottage features a large bedroom, mosquito netting, an en-suite bathroom with a large freestanding bath and both indoor and outdoor showers, a sitting area, air conditioning, a hairdryer, an overhead fan, an in-room safe, a minibar, and complimentary Wi-Fi.

The Honeymoon Suite offers all the features of the cottages along with a private plunge pool, a private deck for dining under the stars (weather permitting), and special nightly turndowns. This suite also includes a private vehicle and guide for personalized game viewing activities.

The facilities at Chobe Chilwero include an expansive lounge area, indoor and outdoor dining areas, a bar, a spa, a kids' club, babysitting services, laundry services, and a split-level pool.

Meals are sumptuous affairs, and the lodge is renowned for its delicious, eclectic fusion of Western and African cuisine and delicacies. Guests may also request private dinners served outdoors under the twinkling African sky.

Game viewing activities are personally tailored. Offerings include morning and late afternoon game drives, sunset boat cruises along the tranquil waters of the Chobe River, and fishing excursions.

Chobe National Park features abundant and diverse wildlife and is home to the largest concentration of elephants in Africa. During the dry season, these elephant herds, along with large herds of buffalo, congregate along the fertile floodplains of the Chobe River. Visitors may catch sight of puku, sable, giraffe, and roan antelope, as well as the rare aquatic Red Lechwe and indigenous Chobe Bushbuck. The abundant game supports a healthy population of predators, including large resident populations of lions, leopards, wild dogs, and cheetahs. The park is also home to the Big Five, as well as huge pods of hippos and crocodiles.

Chobe is rich in birdlife, with over 450 species, including the rare Pel's Fishing Owl and the distinctive, oddly-beaked African skimmer.

The above rates include all meals, all game viewing activities, park fees, laundry services, and emergency medical evacuation. All beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic, except for champagne and premium brands) are included, along with airstrip transfers and return airport transfers (Kasane Airport to Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero).
