Nestled on the banks of the Sand River under century-old ebony trees and bordering with the world-renowned Kruger National Park is the charming River Lodge.

The Details
River Lodge boasts six luxurious Suites, each featuring an en-suite bathroom, outdoor shower, lounge area, air conditioning, ceiling fan, mosquito netting, in-room safe, tea and coffee-making facilities, minibar, hairdryer, and a private deck complete with a plunge pool, loungers, and views of the river and bushveld.
The lodge facilities include a lounge area, dining area, boma, safari shop, internet access, laundry services, wellness center, swimming pool, and viewing deck.
During your stay, enjoy dawn and dusk game drives conducted in open safari vehicles and led by professional rangers. Guided bush walks give guests a closer encounter with the fauna, flora, and smaller wondrous creatures of the bush.
River Lodge is ideal for solo explorers, couples, and families seeking a luxurious Big Five safari getaway.
Price Includes
- Accommodation, two game drives per day, all meals, teas, and coffees. Drinks (house wines, local brand spirits, beers, and soft drinks), minibar, refreshments on game drives, bush walks, Wi-Fi, laundry service, transfers to and from the lodge airstrip, and VAT are also included.

Child rates
Under 17 years: 50% of full adult sharing rate when sharing with at least one adult. 17+ pays full adult rate. DSL R1,100 child per day.
Notable exceptions
- Full camp (sole-use) bookings waive the standard minimum age of 8 — children of any age are welcome on exclusive-use. A child under 13 may not stay in a suite alone. Triple suites are on request, subject to availability; the third person must be a child under 17 (no triples with three adults). Private vehicles are available at R18,150 vehicle per day but must be booked for the entire duration of the stay, not part of it; this is not framed as a family-specific workaround. Participation of children on game drives and walks remains at the discretion of the field guides and management.
