Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp is nestled in the private Manyeleti Private Game Reserve which borders with the world-renowned Kruger National Park, Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve, and the Timbavati Game Reserve. Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp was designed to offer an authentic tented safari experience in a pristine wildlife sanctuary.
There are 12 double comfortable tents which are nestled in a Tamboti grove and overlook a dry river bed. The tents are each set on a wooden platform and are furnished with king-size beds which can be converted into twin beds, mosquito nets, leather couches; and en-suite bathroom with a sunken concrete bath, double shower, double vanity and a separate toilet.
Lodge facilities include a reception area, a large sitting area, a dining area, a bar and an extensive climate controlled wine cellar, swimming pool with sun loungers and a viewing deck that overlooks a nearby watering hole.
Dining at the camp is communal and is usually outdoors with log fires and torches. The cuisine is simple homemade dishes and incorporates local produce. Special arrangements can be made for in-room dining and private bush dinners.
Activities offered at camp or nearby include morning and afternoon open vehicle game drives in the private reserve or in the neighboring Kruger National Park, bird watching from a newly built hide opposite a watering hole, guided hiking and walking safaris at an additional cost, plant life/flora and footprint tracking, private guided tours, and wildlife photography.
The 23 000 hectare private Manyeleti Game Reserve is one of those very few remaining 'hidden gems', boasting the famous Big Five, 517 species of birds, 147 species of mammals, 114 species of reptiles, 50 species of fish, and 33 species of amphibians.
Honeyguide Mantobeni is ideal for solo explorers, couples and families looking for a private and authentic safari experience.

It was a great experience dealing with Shann. She was most accommodating and patient. We managed to sort things out very eventually. The only sore point I have is the 2 % surcharge for the card handling fee, which I find too excessive. Otherwise, I am pleased with everything.

Trip to Kruger at Mdluli Safari Lodge
I loved working with Anja from safari.com. She put together my itinerary within my price range and was very professional, thorough and empathetic. She followed up with me many times to see if I needed anything throughout my trip and even filled out some forms for me when I was having difficulty. When the lodge I stayed at was not being accommodating in the slightest, she quickly contacted the manager and got them to rearrange their services to meet my needs. I would most certainly use safari.com again due to my wonderful experience working with Anja.

I would love to share my experience with Nicole. She has worked tirelessly to help me make my dream vacation a reality. I had no idea how to start planning. Nicole suggested the most wonderful South African resorts and safaris. No matter how many changes I threw her way it was always received with a happy, positive attitude. I live in Hawaii and even though we were on a 12 hour time difference she was always available to answer any questions or concerns. Her expertise, knowledge and patience are unmeasurable. I was plagued with numerous payment issues from my bank in Hawaii. Nicole never wavered from being patience and more importantly positive that we could resolve each issue and get my trip booked.
