• Children are kept busy with the educational Young Rangers Programme which incorporates activities that focus on wildlife conservation. Children will be taught how to bird call, how to identify trees through touch, how to track and identify spoors, and how to use the stars as a map to find your way home. Children will be issued with an Inyati Young Rangers certificate at the end of their stay.

The Detail

Known as a prime location for encountering the elusive leopard, the lodge offers a intimate wildlife experience. The main veranda area was extended to capitalise on the views of the Sand River and its rich game viewing opportunities, the dining area has been made bigger to enhance the guest experience, and the traditional open-aired boma has been completely rebuilt to create a warm and inviting space for guests to enjoy their starlight dinners.

The accommodation at Inyati comprises of three Luxury Family Chalets and eight Luxury Standard Chalets, all of which have had a soft upgrade and now have new luxurious furnishings and gorgeous outdoor showers have been added to the standard chalets.

The family chalets each have an extra length king-size bed, a double bed and a single bed, en-suite bathroom with double vanities, bathtub and shower; lounge area, minibar, tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryers, in-room safe, writing desk, air conditioning, mosquito netting, and a deck with comfortable seating and views of the bushveld and river.

The lodge facilities include a lounge, bar, curio shop, gym, swimming pool, satellite television, complimentary Wi-Fi, conference venue, and a large viewing deck that overlooks the river.

The reserve has approximately 145 mammal species including elephant, black and white rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, hyena hippopotamus, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, warthog, and various antelope species.

Activities offered at the lodge include early morning and late afternoon open-vehicle game drives led by professional guides, guided bush walks which explore the fauna, flora and smaller wondrous creatures of the African bush, and fishing in the Sand River.
