• Children are kept engaged with the educational Young Rangers Programme, which incorporates activities focusing on wildlife conservation. Children will learn to bird call, identify trees through touch, track and identify spoor, and use the stars as a map to find their way home. At the end of their stay, children will receive an Inyati Young Rangers certificate.

The Detail

Known as a prime location for encountering the elusive leopard, the lodge offers an intimate wildlife experience. The main veranda area has been extended to capitalize on the views of the Sand River and its rich game viewing opportunities. The dining area has been enlarged to enhance the guest experience, and the traditional open-air boma has been completely rebuilt to create a warm and inviting space for guests to enjoy starlit dinners.

The accommodation at Inyati consists of three Luxury Family Chalets and eight Luxury Standard Chalets. All chalets have undergone a soft upgrade, now featuring new luxurious furnishings. Outdoor showers have also been added to the standard chalets.

The family chalets each include an extra-length king-size bed, a double bed, a single bed, an en-suite bathroom with double vanities, a bathtub, a shower, a lounge area, a minibar, tea and coffee-making facilities, hair dryers, an in-room safe, a writing desk, air conditioning, mosquito netting, and a deck with comfortable seating and views of the bushveld and river.

The lodge facilities include a lounge, bar, curio shop, gym, swimming pool, satellite television, complimentary Wi-Fi, conference venue, and a large viewing deck that overlooks the river.

The reserve is home to approximately 145 mammal species, including elephant, black and white rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, hyena, hippopotamus, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, warthog, and various antelope species.

Activities at the lodge include early morning and late afternoon open-vehicle game drives led by professional guides, guided bush walks that explore the flora, fauna, and smaller wonders of the African bush, and fishing in the Sand River.
