The Detail
The elegantly designed camp features six luxury tents and one luxury family tent, keeping in line with the intimate and exclusive wilderness experience. The new camp seamlessly combines luxury accommodation with the feeling of being immersed in the great African outdoors. Woven baskets and beaded décor, alongside modern elements, create an authentic, contemporary African style.
Khwai’s biggest attraction is, without a doubt, its abundant and extraordinary wildlife – you’ll never run out of things to see! Guests can experience a mix of adventure and relaxation as they live out their ultimate safari. Start your day with a walking safari and end it with a gin and tonic overlooking the Khwai River.
During the day, enjoy game drives, walking safaris, and mokoro safaris (when water levels permit) in search of Africa’s iconic animals, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, wild dogs, elephants, buffalo, hippos, and giraffes. A key highlight of this area is the opportunity to go on night drives, offering a closer glimpse at some of Africa’s nocturnal and more elusive wildlife.

Family/inter-leading rooms cater to families with younger children, and the Ngwana Club kids' programme welcomes children of all ages. Children under 6 are not permitted on shared game drives and must book a private vehicle (USD 500 per night, subject to availability). Children under 16 are not permitted on walking, mokoro, or canoeing safaris for safety reasons. Children under 16 must share accommodation with at least one adult at all times and must accompany adults when leaving camp — guides cannot supervise children in camp during activities. Babysitting is not offered, but the camp can assist with child-friendly daytime activities in conjunction with the Ngwana Club.
