Kibale Lodge is perched on a ridge, offering breathtaking vistas of the Rwenzori Mountains to the west and the Queen Elizabeth plains along with the Kazinga Channel to the south.
Children under 15 are not allowed to participate in chimpanzee tracking. While children are welcome at the lodge, there are no childcare facilities available.
The Lodge offers 8 distinct hand-crafted luxury bandas (6 deluxe and 2 standard). Currently, 4 bandas are available, with an additional 4 set to open by the end of 2024.
Each banda features a private terrace with views of either the Rwenzori Mountains or the scenic hills around Fort Portal. All bandas are equipped with en-suite bathrooms that include flushing toilets, double vanities, and both indoor and outdoor showers with hot and cold running water.
Guests enjoy personal butler service throughout their stay. The Kibale Forest Spa offers two double massage rooms, a sauna, and a swimming pool . All massages are complimentary, subject to booking and availability.
Full board accommodations are provided, along with all soft drinks, regular and premium alcoholic beverages such as signature cocktails, single malt whiskies, and select cellar wines (excluding French champagne). A complimentary laundry service is also available. Rooms come equipped with power outlets, charging facilities, hairdryers, and fans (though air conditioning is not provided). Wi-Fi is accessible in the main lodge and in the bandas.
Activities at the Lodge and nearby include chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest, which is a 30-minute drive away, and a four-hour chimpanzee habituation experience. Guests can also enjoy birdwatching at Bigodi Wetland Swamp, visit local schools involved in the Roots and Shoots program in partnership with the Volcanoes Safaris Partnership Trust and the Jane Goodall Institute, tour the Rwenzori Sculpture Foundation, visit the Sadhguru School, or hike the Rwenzori Mountains.

Mel de Toit is definitely worthy of FIVE stars. She has helped us put together a trip of a lifetime. Our first safari is at Simbavati and the second is at Chief's Camp, in the Okavanga Delta. In addition she has arranged flights to various destinations and a wonderful stay with various side trips in Cape Town. We can't wait to start our journey and know that thanks to Mel, it will be the trip of a lifetime!

Keith - best travel agent in the world
Keith is such an amazing communicator, very organised and helpful. This will be my first ever visit to the Kruger national park. As a fellow South African I never had the chance to visit the Kruger NP. Keith sent us voice recordings and I cried listening to his accent and hearing the beautiful nature in the background bringing back so many fond memories of our beautiful country.
