This 5-star intimate hotel features a captivating sunken swimming pool and a nearby tanning deck, which serve as the centerpiece of the beautifully manicured garden. The lounges, dining area, and sun patios all open onto the garden.
Children of all ages are welcome at The Last Word Constantia.
Children 12 and older are considered adults and must have their room at regular rates. Children 6 to 11 can share with parents in the Elegant Suite, Pool Suite, or Junior Suite for R1,800 per night per child, with a maximum of two children per room, subject to availability.
Accommodation
Nine luxurious and elegantly designed suites provide exceptionally spacious accommodation and outstanding comfort, each opening onto private patios that lead to the garden and pool.
Elegant Suites
The Elegant Suites offer classic elegance and luxurious comfort in spacious rooms averaging 95m² (1000 square feet). Each suite, located upstairs and on the ground floor, includes a separate lounge area for relaxation. Room 5 features a private patio accessing the pool and garden, while Room 8 boasts views of the famous Constantia garden. Additional beds for children are available for an extra fee.
Superior Rooms
The four Superior Rooms, all on the ground floor, feature private patios leading to the swimming pool and gardens. Each room is approximately 45m² (484 square feet) and offers unique luxury and character. Spacious bathrooms include both a bath and separate shower.
Pool Suites
The two Pool Suites at Last Word Constantia offer semi-private dipping pools and patio areas. Although not interconnected, these suites share a common entrance, making them ideal for families traveling together. Each suite includes a bedroom area, separate lounge with its own TV, and ample space of 75m² (800 square feet). Extra beds for children can be arranged for an additional cost.
Family Suite
The Family Suite consists of two adjoining rooms: a parents' room and a children's room, each with its own en-suite bathroom featuring both a bath and a separate shower. The parents' room opens into a family lounge equipped with a TV and Nintendo Wii for children's entertainment. With over 100m² of space, the suite comfortably accommodates the whole family, and children stay free of charge at the standard suite rate.
Dining at Last Word Constantia
The restaurant, bar, and lounge at the establishment offer complimentary soft beverages and house wines. Lunches and dinners can be arranged upon request. Conveniently located next door is the Peddlars on the Bend restaurant, and there are numerous internationally celebrated restaurants nearby.

Aquilia Safari trip
Re: Safari from Cape Town to Aquilia. Fadiel was very helpful and organised our trip for us. We were picked up by Joe, who was our driver for the day. Joe is born and raised in Cape Town. He was prompt and was very friendly and informative. There was a good choice of food at Aquilia and had choices for my husband too who is Coeliac.

Mel is friendly and patient
I would usually book my trips myself. Lucky for me I sent off an enquiry to Safari.com and received Mel's wonderful help. Mel responded quickly and made me feel comfortable with Safari.com. organising my trip. Planning Our Family African Safari Experience
Planning our first trip to Africa was a really big deal for us. After careful review of numerous safari planners, we selected safari.com and worked with Nicole Van der Merwe. There's a lot of parts in putting together such a vacation including ground transfers, hotels, activities, and flights.
