Leroo La Tau is a luxurious lodge nestled on the western bank of the Boteti River which derives flow from the world-renowned Okavango Delta. The eastern bank of the Boteti River forms the boundary of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park - one of the largest salt flats in the world. The lodge's river setting affords guests an incredible safari experience with an abundance of wildlife frequently visiting the river for a drink.

Child Policy
Children over the age of 6 years are welcome at the lodge.
Families with children aged 6 to 11 years will be required to book private activities at an additional cost.
There are no family units available. Therefore, one child under the age of 12 years can share a tent with two adults, with a separate camper bed provided for the child.
The Detail
Leroo La Tau offers twelve luxurious thatched and glass-fronted suites built on raised decks. Each suite features an en-suite bathroom with double vanities and a shower, as well as amenities such as bathrobes, a fan, a writing desk, a hairdryer, tea and coffee-making facilities, a flashlight, an in-room safe, an umbrella, and a patio with loungers.
The lodge facilities include a lounge area, dining area, bar, library, and swimming pool. A unique game-viewing hide is built into the bank of the river, offering unrivaled views of the wildlife and landscape.
The lodge provides guided day and night game drives. Depending on the water level of the Boteti River, boat activities are also available. Optional cultural excursions can be arranged to Khumaga Village, Nxai Pan, and Baines Baobabs (for three-night stays only). Additionally, guided nature walks allow guests to experience up-close encounters with the fauna, flora, and smaller wondrous creatures of the bush.
Leroo La Tau translates to โlionโs paw.โ While the surrounding area boasts abundant lion, zebra, and wildebeest populations, it is also home to Chobe bushbuck, leopards, cheetahs, brown and spotted hyenas, impala, kudu, jackals, porcupines, genets, and caracals, among many others.

Notable exceptions
- Families travelling with children younger than 12 must book private activities at the daily private-activity rate. The Ultimate Family Safari (UFS) package โ which includes a dedicated family host, Safari Activity Bag and adapted in-camp activities (basket weaving, spoor tracking, bird ID, back-of-house eco tour) โ is available for children aged 6โ15 and is accommodated in the family room, subject to availability. No childcare or babysitting is available at any Desert & Delta property; children must remain under parental/guardian care at all times. Makgadikgadi Pans Private Sleep-Out
A private, exclusively-used overnight sleep-out camp set up on the vast Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, available on request at a surcharge. Guests are helicoptered to and from the camp, sleep on a star bed under open skies, dine on a bush-chef-cooked dinner around the fire, and stargaze from the remote pans. A fully packaged 3-night experience at Leroo La Tau centred on a private overnight sleep-out on the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans.
