The campfire has burned here for over 86 years making Varty Camp the symbolic heart and soul of Londolozi.
Londolozi Varty Camp is a riverside masterpiece located within a 14,000-hectare private concession in the famous Sabi Sands Game Reserve, which shares its borders with the Kruger National Park. Guests can enjoy the crisp morning air, exceptional service, and the excitement of various safari activities.
Varty Camp features eight Standard Chalets and two Superior Chalets, each designed with luxury and comfort in mind.
The Standard Chalets offer king-size beds, en-suite bathrooms with double vanities, bathtubs, and indoor showers. Additional amenities include outdoor lounge areas, writing desks, air conditioning, bathrobes, in-room safes, hairdryers, minibars, tea and coffee-making facilities, and decks with salas, private plunge pools, and loungers.
The Superior Chalets include king-size beds draped with mosquito netting, en-suite bathrooms with double vanities, bathtubs, and both indoor and outdoor showers. Camp facilities include a lounge, dining area, bar, gym, internet access, kids club, laundry service, spa, curio shop, and a swimming pool. The highlights of Londolozi include plentiful Big Five sightings, with the park specializing in leopard encounters. Besides the Big Five, the area is home to impala, common waterbuck, grey duiker, kudu, bushbuck, nyala, giraffe, and warthog. The Sand River provides habitat for Cape clawless otters and hippo pods, while nocturnal safaris offer sightings of white-tailed mongoose, African civet, and large-spotted genet.
Birdwatchers will be delighted to know that 303 bird species inhabit the area. These include white-crested helmetshrike, lilac-breasted roller, brown-headed parrot, emerald-spotted dove, scarlet-chested sunbird, woodland kingfisher, red-chested cuckoo, Wahlberg’s eagle, Crested Francolin, saddle-billed stork, grey heron, and pied kingfisher, which are often spotted around waterholes.
Activities at the camp include twice-daily game drives in open vehicles, guided bush walks, tracking, yoga, astronomy lectures, spa treatments, bird watching, and photographic safaris.

Fast and Useful
Assistance from Mrs. Sara van Coillie was incredibly fast, most attentive and useful, despite our many requests to change our itinerary. We had a group of 4 people (2 grandkids and 2 grandparents) to satisfy with the programme. Sara managed to balance out city with bush activities.
