The Details

The camp features 14 luxury suites situated along its edge, providing total privacy and a seamless connection with the natural environment. From these suites, guests can observe elephants playing in the waterhole, hear the melodious calls of the woodland kingfisher, smell the earthy scent of the bushveld, touch the rough bark of ancient trees, and breathe in air so pure it feels exhilarating.

Each suite at Mashatu Lodge is air-conditioned, elegantly decorated, and adorned with stunning black-and-white photographs of Africa's majestic wildlife. The spacious interiors include a double bed, an extra-large single bed, a seating area with a single day bed, and an en-suite bathroom equipped with both a bathtub and shower, as well as a separate toilet.

Two expansive swimming pools provide a refreshing retreat for guests between their safari activities.

Dining at Mashatu is a feast of traditional African cuisine—rich in flavor yet unpretentious. Guests can savor fresh fruits and vegetables, homemade breads and pies, succulent meat dishes, and mouthwatering desserts reminiscent of home-cooked meals.

In addition to game drives, Mashatu Lodge offers a variety of other amenities, including a fully stocked curio shop for those in need of retail therapy, a Discovery Room filled with fascinating ancient relics, and an on-site spa offering luxurious and rejuvenating treatments. Guests also have access to one additional adventure activity per day, which may include cycling safaris, impromptu walking safaris, horse safaris, photographic hides with tuition, community visits, and night drives.

Transfers within Mashatu Game Reserve include transportation to and from Limpopo Valley Airfield, Pont Drift Border Post, Platjan Border Posts, or the Mathathane Village parking facility. Vehicle parking and car wash services are available at Mathathane Village and Limpopo Valley Airfield.

Cable car transfers across the Limpopo River at Pont Drift Border Post are included as well.

The price also covers the Mashatu conservation levy, government bed levy, and VAT.
