You should know

• Children of all ages are welcome to stay at Mont Rochelle.
• Two children under the age of 16 years old can be accommodated in the Pinotage and Cap Classique Suites when sharing with their parents. Children are accommodated in single beds and cots are available for babies 2 years and younger.
• The Manor House is a beautiful four-bedroom villa, ideal for families as children can stay in the fun bunk room. The bunk room has two double beds and two single beds that can sleep up to six children.

Mont Rochelle is a magnificent 26-bedroom hotel and vineyard in the heart of the renowned Franschhoek Valley, known as one of the world's finest wine and cuisine destination and South Africa's food and wine capital.

The estate is approximately 100 acres in size with two restaurants, a cozy bar, a spa, a gym, a heated outdoor pool, vineyard and wine cellar.

The hotel is committed to the sustainability of the environment and sources fresh local produce to prepare inspiring cuisine.  

The 26 rooms and suites comprise of 5 different room types each boasting a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom, luxury amenities, a writing desk, and outside patio or balcony that overlooks the valley or vineyard.

There are four Shiraz Rooms with king-size beds and all feature courtyard or valley views.

There are six Merlot Rooms which are larger than the Shiraz Rooms and oast king-size beds with valley views.

The six Cabernet Rooms are located in the Vineyard Wing and all include a private terrace overlooking the valley.

There are four spacious Pinotage Suites located in both the Manor House and Garden House, each of which features a separate lounge and fantastic views.

The two largest rooms in the hotel are the Cap Classique Suites, which enjoy a separate lounge area, a private terrace, and their own plunge pool. Both suites are in the Vineyard Wing.

Manor House is a luxury villa located a short walk from the main hotel and just a short distance from the Country Kitchen. The perfect option for a family group or guests looking for a more private getaway, the Manor House features four beautifully appointed suites, kitchen, lounge, two swimming pools, and gym. Manor House is available for exclusive hire all year round and can accommodate up to eight guests sharing, plus bunkroom for up to six children.

There are two restaurants at Mont Rochelle including the Country Kitchen which joins up to the wine cellar which is the ideal place for a light lunch in the sunshine. The main restaurant, Miko, is the setting for some fantastic gourmet meals that depict a blend of international dishes and healthy South African cuisine. The hotel bar is the best place to start off your evening, with a selection of refreshing cocktails to enjoy on the terrace that overlooks the vineyards - the perfect place to be during sunset.

A favorite activity for many guests is picnicking on the estate. The kitchen can arrange a well-stocked picnic basket with a chilled bottle of wine to enjoy with the breathtaking views of the vineyards and rolling valley.
