The Detail
This cozy lodge is nestled beneath breathtaking fossilized dunes, offering guests a remarkable view of the ancient desert landscape. With a variety of 65 rooms to choose from, including Standard Twin, Triple, and Family Rooms, guests are sure to find a suitable option for their stay.

Child rates
Children up to 5 years stay free of charge; children aged 6–13 years are charged at 50% of the B&B rate.
Notable exceptions
- Children are welcomed at the lodge itself, which offers 4 dedicated family rooms (out of 66) sleeping up to 4, with en-suite shower, air-conditioning and veranda; one family room is suitable for guests with restricted mobility. The age restrictions on file relate to the transfer, flight and tour suppliers rather than the lodge: the 10-day Namibian Highlights Tour does not accept children under 10. Scenic Air will only carry unaccompanied minors aged 12–18; children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult in the aircraft. Infants under 24 months may travel on a parent's lap at 10% of the adult fare, but a full seat charge applies if a car seat is required. Go2 Shuttle requires every child to occupy their own seat, and children under 13 may not travel alone and must be accompanied by an adult older than 18.

Damara Living Museum Visit
Guests visit the Damara Living Museum, a structured cultural experience where Damara community members demonstrate traditional practices, giving visitors an authentic insight into Damara heritage and way of life.
Included as part of Day 7 of the 10-day Namibian Highlights Tour itinerary, based at Damara Mopane Lodge.

Village visit
Himba Village Visit
Guests depart Damara Mopane Lodge and visit a traditional Himba village en route to Etosha National Park, offering a cultural encounter with the semi-nomadic Himba people of Namibia.
Included on Day 8 of the 10-day Namibian Highlights Tour itinerary. Led by a local English-speaking tour guide with vehicle and fuel included.
