The hotel is located in the heart of Stellenbosch which is well known for its vibrant shops, art galleries, stunning museums and beautiful examples of Cape Dutch architecture within walking distance. The luxurious landmark hotel is filled with antiques and decorated in soft tones, creating a warm and welcoming ambiance. Tasteful furnishings, attentive service, gourmet cuisine, and world-class amenities combine to give guests a memorable stay.

Oude Werf has 58 luxurious en-suite bedrooms in three different room types, set across the hotel property. Most are centered on the poolside gardens or in our historic inn-house. Most above-ground rooms have lift access, with some adjacent rooms interleading and family group-friendly.

All rooms have been extensively renovated or are newly built, incorporating latest interior fittings and standard room features which include a King or twin beds, en-suite bathroom with luxury bathroom amenities, high-speed internet access, tea and coffee making facilities, optional mini bar, air-conditioning, work desk, and satellite television.

23 contemporary styled Superior Rooms are located on all three floors of the Hotel, overlooking the shady central garden or quiet vine-covered courtyard. The open-plan style rooms spill with natural light and offer a bedroom, luxury en-suite with shower, vanity and toilet.

The 12 spacious high-ceilinged Deluxe Rooms are furnished in rich colors and comfortable modern Cape style and boast king or twin beds, large luxury en-suite with free-standing bath and separate shower, and Nespresso coffee machine.

23 spacious open-plan Luxury Rooms are located on the ground, first and second floors of the hotel. They enjoy airy views of the quiet central gardens or courtyard. 7-nights Safari
I made a reservation for a 7-night safari trip to two specific Private Game Reserves in the Kruger National Park in South Africa, for one of the busiest months in Kruger: August. This reservation was made at the last minute. (3 days ago). A reservation that had some special features, with choices from someone who has already done (my husband and I) several safaris in other African countries. The architecture and design of the lodges are important to us on a professional level. And the Private Game Reserves had to be the best. Anja Meyer, from Safari.com, started and completed the reservation process in 4 days, two of which were weekends. Very efficient, fast and understanding what we wanted for our week in the bush. We are "addicted" to safaris, wildlife, bush, landscapes, nature... and we love Africa and the Africans. We can't wait for August to arrive. Thank you!

My first experience a number of months…
My first experience a number of months back wasn't as I wanted. I picked up with Dolan a little after this to find when the best time to Safari was with the chance of seeing the "big 5" and he was so helpful, guiding me to July-September. With the cooler winter months being the better chances to see more wildlife and the big five. This lead me on to deal with Jayson. Jayson has pulled out all the stops, working past 9pm Cape Town time( 8pm London UK) to help meet my needs. I travel out on 6th July and cannot wait, Thank you Dolan and Jayson. Thanks Pascal you are amazing!
From the moment we arrived in South Africa, our safari adventure was nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled in the heart of the African wilderness, we found ourselves surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes of Kruger National Park, a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. Our accommodation was luxurious yet seamlessly integrated into the natural environment, offering us stunning views of the savannah from the comfort of our private deck. Each day began with an exhilarating sunrise game drive, where our expert guide shared his deep knowledge and passion for the local wildlife. Witnessing the "Big Five" was an awe-inspiring experience that left us in complete awe of nature's magnificence. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and made sure we felt safe while immersing ourselves in the wilderness. Evenings were equally enchanting, with sundowner drinks enjoyed against the backdrop of a fiery African sunset, followed by sumptuous dinners under the starlit sky. The cuisine was a delightful fusion of local flavors and gourmet dishes, perfectly complementing the day's adventures. The sense of community at the lodge was heartwarming. The staff were attentive, ensuring every need was met with a smile, and fellow travelers quickly became friends as we shared stories around the campfire. Our South African safari was more than just a holiday; it was a transformative journey that connected us with nature and left us with lasting memories. For anyone seeking an adventure that combines luxury, education, and unparalleled wildlife encounters, a safari in South Africa is an absolute must. We left with hearts full of gratitude and a profound appreciation for the natural world, eagerly planning our return to this magnificent land.
