Phinda Private Game Reserve is a diverse 28,555-hectare park located in KwaZulu-Natal. The reserve is situated between the Mkuze Game Reserve and the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park, within easy reach of the Indian Ocean coastline. Phinda Zuka Safari Lodge is an exclusive-use establishment located in a private wooded area of the Phinda Reserve. This well-appointed lodge, named after the Zulu term for "sixpence," caters to your every need. The lodge offers the services of a personal game ranger and game drive vehicle, an interactive kitchen with a dedicated chef, a butler to attend to all your needs, a comfortable library with internet access and TV, a sitting room with a fireplace, a private swimming pool, and a private waterhole. With no set timetable or routine, your safari experience is completely tailored to suit your needs.
Four private bush Suites feature en-suite bathrooms with oversized baths and indoor showers, as well as private sitting areas that overlook the waterhole.
Activities offered at the lodge include twice-daily private game drives conducted in open safari vehicles, guided bush walks, Zulu village tours, seasonal night turtle drives, scuba and ocean safaris, black rhino tracking on foot, and participative conservation experiences.
Phinda Private Game Reserve’s unique blend of riverine and rare sand forest habitats is home to an exceptional variety of wildlife, including lions, giraffes, white and black rhinos, antelope, elephants, leopards, buffalo, cheetahs, and wildebeest, as well as 415 bird species.

Anja at Safari.com was a great partner to work with!
Working with Anja at Safari.com was great. She was able to work some magic and got us a few nights at the safari lodge we really wanted, Ngoma. Unfortunately, our flight from the USA to South Africa was canceled and we were rebooked a day later but Anja was great about making sure our lodge and the transports knew about the change in plans and made sure we got to our trip as soon as we could. She was a great partner to have and communicated quickly whenever we reached out. I would highly recommend using her when planning a trip to Africa!

Leigh-Ann from Safari.com was great to work with to plan our group safari trip. She was able to get me on the priority waitlist for a lodge that I liked, which ended up working out for our group during my preferred dates. Leigh-Ann was responsive and provided various tour recommendations for us to decide on the best option for us. There were a few email and name typos from Leigh-Ann that I had to correct, but other than that, I had a great experience.

Dolan was terrific
Dolan was terrific. He got back to us immediately to answer all of our questions. And was so nice to hold a room for a couple of days because of my moms passing. It gave us time to finalize her arrangements and time to book our trip. I would highly recommend using him to book your trip!!

Went through Newmarket travel and Hays…
Went through Newmarket travel and Hays travel ..information about flight changes hard to get..but on arrival the holiday was taken over Safari.com..amazing ..experience everything was fine tuned and the staff ..guides drivers fabulous and friendly ..lots of knowledge..lots of fun and the surprises they did was so lovely ...loved every minute ..Paris our guide was amazing..10/10 and Eric driver ..the waiters and waitress every and everyone in the hotels .smiling and friendly..Best holiday of my life
