Simbavati Grumeti lies within Tanzania’s fabled northern safari circuit. The luxury lodge is nestled on the open plains between the Serengeti National Park and the Grumeti River. The opening date for this new lodge is planned for July 2023.

The Detail
Within Tanzania’s renowned northern safari circuit, Simbavati Grumeti is located on the open plains between the Serengeti National Park and the Grumeti River.
These acacia-dotted plains are home to a spectacular variety of wildlife year-round. Experience the Tanzanian wilderness with game drives, sundowners, night drives, boma dinners, spa treatments, and more.
These plains also host vast herds of wildebeest, assembling during their annual migration to move between the north and south of the Serengeti National Park. You may also spot buffalo, giraffes, lions, and other wildlife from your tent or the lodge.

Ten luxury safari tents include a king-sized bed (convertible to twin), en-suite bathroom with outdoor showers, ample storage space, a viewing deck, and stunning views over the plains.

Two family tents feature a king-sized bed (convertible to twin), a secondary bedroom with twin beds, en-suite bathroom with outdoor showers, ample storage space, a viewing deck, and incredible views over the plains.

Notable exceptions
- All children stay at their parents' own risk. The Family Tent is configured for 2 adults + 2 children under 16 years old, and is offered as a distinct room type alongside the Luxury Safari Tents. Walking safaris are restricted to guests aged 12 and over (minimum 2 guests), and cannot be guaranteed when grass levels are too high or due to other unforeseen circumstances — participation is at own risk, and participation of children is at parents' risk. No nanny / babysitting services are available on site.

A guided walking safari of approximately 2 hours, concluding with a bush brunch. Available as an add-on activity priced per person, or included as one walking safari per two-night stay under the Game Package. Minimum of 2 guests required, and guests must be at least 12 years of age.
