Within Tanzania’s renowned northern safari circuit, Simbavati Grumeti is located on the open plains between the Serengeti National Park and the Grumeti River.
These acacia-dotted plains are home to a spectacular variety of wildlife year-round. Experience the Tanzanian wilderness with game drives, sundowners, night drives, boma dinners, spa treatments, and more.
These plains also host vast herds of wildebeest, assembling during their annual migration to move between the north and south of the Serengeti National Park. You may also spot buffalo, giraffes, lions, and other wildlife from your tent or the lodge.

Long stay
Combine two Simbavati lodges in Tanzania and receive 10 per cent off, or three or more lodges for 15 per cent off, with road transfers between the lodges included. Simbavati Mara requires a minimum two-night stay in green and high seasons to qualify. The offer applies at Tanzanian Simbavati lodges only, cannot be combined with other offers, and is not valid over the festive period of 21 December 2026 to 4 January 2027.
Family
Children aged 6 to 15 sharing a family tent with their parents are charged at 50 per cent of the per person sharing rate. Children from 6 years are welcome, with a maximum of two adults and two children under 16 in a family tent, and walking safaris are limited to guests aged 12 and over.

All children stay at their parents' own risk. The Family Tent is configured for 2 adults + 2 children under 16 years old, and is offered as a distinct room type alongside the Luxury Safari Tents. Walking safaris are restricted to guests aged 12 and over (minimum 2 guests), and cannot be guaranteed when grass levels are too high or due to other unforeseen circumstances — participation is at own risk, and participation of children is at parents' risk. No nanny / babysitting services are available on site.
