Spitzkoppen Lodge is a unique destination in Namibia, distinctively situated between the granite boulders of the Spitzkoppe Mountain. This luxury lodge offers an extravagant experience, spectacular scenery and awe-inspiring rock art. All the while, staying in accommodation and eco-friendly practices.

The Details:
The lodge is nestled among ancient granite rock formations of the Spitzkoppe Mountain, located between Usakos and Swakopmund in the Namib Desert.
With the Milky Way flickering in the sky or the sunrise and sunset creeping out from behind the eroded rock arch and massive boulders, Spitzkoppen Lodge has become a must-visit destination. It caters not only to hikers and mountain climbers but also to keen photographers and intrepid travelers.

No dedicated kids' programme.
Accommodation
Family unit available. Two of the 15 chalets are positioned closer together and linked by a short walkway to form a family chalet; described as suitable for older children. Each chalet has its own private bathroom and viewing deck.
Child rates
Children aged 6–12 sharing with parent: N$2,100N$1,785 gross (1 child per chalet). Children aged 6–12 in own chalet: N$3,400N$2,890 gross (max 3 children per chalet). Children under 6 are not allowed.
Notable exceptions
- Lodge is not a traditional game-drive safari property; activities include guided walks, guided drives, sunset drives, cycling tours and mountain hikes. Safety caveat: elevated walkways and an unfenced pool, so children must be supervised at all times. Some sources (Booking.com aggregator) state children over 7 are welcome — this contradicts the supplier's own stated minimum age of 6 (rate sheet and safari.com / Expert Africa). Original rate-sheet minimum age of 6 retained.
