Tuli Safari Lodge is a 4-star retreat that features a pool nestled against massive rocks, a stargazing deck, a wildlife hide, a walking trail within the lodge grounds, and a vegetable garden that provides fresh produce for the kitchen.

The Details
The eight luxurious tented suites are spacious, elevated, and designed with timber frames draped in canvas. Each suite features large wrap-around decks that offer serene views of the Tuli landscape and surrounding bush. The interiors reflect a modern twist on the classic "Out of Africa" style, with an open-plan layout.
Each suite includes an island bed, lounge area, freestanding bathtub, spacious separate shower, double vanity, separate toilet, and ample storage. For guests staying two nights, the lodge offers special experiences such as a bush brunch or dinner and private dining in unique locations around the camp or on private decks (available upon request).
The expansive grounds feature a large swimming pool, waterhole, hide, and walking trail. Additional activities include night drives and cultural experiences, such as village tours, which can extend into a full day.

An overnight photographic hide experience from 16:00 to 09:00. Children of all ages welcome under strict adult supervision. Children under 12 sharing with two full-paying adults pay approximately 50% of the sharing rate (e.g. sharing $556/$600/$640 vs child $276/$300/$320 across seasons). Proof of age required at check-in.
Notable exceptions
- Game drives: minimum age 5; children under 5 only permitted if parents reserve sole-use of the vehicle (Exclusive Use Vehicle: $750STO per vehicle per day). The Lala Limpopo Sleep Out Hide is a dedicated overnight hide experience running from 16:00 to 09:00, situated within Mashatu Game Reserve. It accommodates a maximum of 4 guests and 1 private guide, with two separate sleeping areas approximately 8 metres apart, each containing two ¾ beds. Guests may book on a shared basis (sharing the hide with another couple/single) or on an exclusive-use basis. The experience replaces the afternoon and morning game drives. A minimum of 2 nights at one of Mashatu's lodges must be booked prior to qualifying for 1 night at the hide. The hide is closed in January, February and December. No children under 16 are permitted unless sole/exclusive use of the hide is secured. Pricing: Shared – $400 pp/pn; Single – $572 pn; Exclusive use – $1,400 pn.

Fly-camp overnight
Night Under the Stars (WalkMashatu Fly Camp)
The Night Under the Stars is an overnight fly-camp experience based at the WalkMashatu Fly Camp, bookable as an add-on activity for guests staying at Mashatu's commercial lodges (including Kolokolo, up to 6 pax, but not Shalimpo). Guests depart their lodge on the afternoon game drive with an overnight bag, ending at the fly camp for dinner, drinks, night photography, a night walk and/or fireside stories before sleeping under the stars. The following morning a light bush breakfast is served before a morning game drive at ~06:00, after which guests return to their lodge for brunch. Offered year-round; max 6 guests. No children under 12; children 12–18 must be accompanied by a parent. Rate is per group of up to 6 pax.

An advanced horseback safari on Mashatu Game Reserve, operated by the Mashatu concessionaire Horizon Horseback. Strictly for experienced equestrians — a riding test is conducted prior to departure and participation is at the sole discretion of Horizon. Minimum 1 and maximum 4 guests. Children under 12 are not permitted; those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult/parent who is also an experienced rider.
