The Detail

The three Granite Suites are positioned among the Granite rocks alongside the Sand River. They feature four-poster king-size beds draped with mosquito netting, ensuite bathrooms with double vanities, outdoor bathtubs, and outdoor showers. Additional amenities include underfloor heating, lounge areas, writing desks, air conditioning, bathrobes, in-room safes, hairdryers, minibars, tea and coffee-making facilities, and viewing decks with heated swimming pools, salas, and loungers.

The camp facilities include a lounge, dining area, bar, gym, internet access, kids club, laundry service, spa, curio shop, and a swimming pool.

The Big Five, along with impala, common waterbuck, grey duiker, kudu, bushbuck, nyala, giraffe, and warthog, all roam freely. The ever-present Sand River is home to Cape clawless otters and hippo groups, while guests may spot white-tailed mongoose, African civet, and large-spotted genet during nighttime safaris.

Over 303 bird species call this area home, including white-crested helmetshrike, lilac-breasted roller, brown-headed parrot, emerald-spotted dove, scarlet-chested sunbird, woodland kingfisher, red-chested cuckoo, Wahlberg’s eagle, and crested francolin. Saddle-billed storks, grey herons, and pied kingfishers gather around the park's waterholes.
