Mhondoro Safari Lodge is nestled in the heart of the malaria-free Welgevonden Game Reserve in South Africa and offers an elegant blend of luxury, wildlife, and sustainability. Known for its Big Five game viewing, the lodge provides guests with an excellent safari experience, including guided game drives and walking safaris led by experienced rangers.
At Mhondoro, you will find a harmonious mix of modern luxury and African elegance, featuring private villas and suites with stunning views of the wilderness. Unique to Mhondoro is its underground waterhole hide, allowing for close-up wildlife encounters.
Price Includes

- Two safari activities per day, including game drives in open vehicles or walking safaris with the Mhondoro guide.

Children 0–35 months free; 3–11 years 50% of adult rate; 12+ full adult sharing rate. Villa (exclusive use) carries a surcharge for additional children 3–11.
Notable exceptions
- Children under 6 may not join scheduled (shared) game drives when other guests are present. Families with small children (under 6) may arrange a private "Bumble" game drive at R850 per drive, subject to vehicle and ranger availability. The Villa, booked on an exclusive-use basis, includes a private vehicle and private guide — making it suitable for families with younger children.
