The Detail
Namiri Plains’ upgraded design maximizes views of the seasonal riverbed in front of the camp. This secluded region of the eastern Serengeti is the ultimate big cat territory. For a few months each year, the Great Migration herds fill the plains close to camp as they travel to the south for calving.
The camp features ten spacious, stylish tented suites, including one family tent, all overlooking the Serengeti plains. Since the 2019 refurbishment, the tents are larger and include sliding doors that run the full width of each room, opening onto an expanded viewing deck. The walls are made from calcrete, a sedimentary rock formed from the ashes of the Ngorongoro volcanoes, which helps regulate the indoor temperature. Interiors are decorated with natural materials and tones. Each bathroom offers a stunning view of the plains, complemented by a standalone resin tub on your private deck for an al fresco bubble bath paired with a chilled glass of fizz.
All food is prepared fresh in camp, including homemade bread, biscuits, and muffins. Breakfast consists of a continental buffet or a full English meal. Lunch is a light buffet with salads or fresh vegetables. A three-course dinner is served later in the dining tent or under the stars.

Safari Specialist - Southern Africa & East Africa
Knows Namiri Plains backwards. Your direct contact from first enquiry to the day you come home.
"Very helpful with itinerary and excellent arrangements of transport from and to Cape Town, and Idubi in Sabi Sands and Lukimbi in Kruger. Although a rep for Safari.com said a letter from a doctor was not required, such a letter IS REQUIRED to go on bush walks if older than 65. Fortunately, we checked the reserve web site and had a doctor's letter."
