The detail
This boutique lodge, an oasis in a wildlife wonderland, offers unrivaled panoramic views over the game-rich floodplain and Chobe River. It is located on the doorstep of Chobe National Park, also known as the "Land of the Giants," as it is home to the largest population of elephants on Earth.
Expect a vast and diverse array of wildlife as knowledgeable guides take you on safaris through the Chobe National Park, lazy afternoons by the pool, and stunning dinners under African stars.
Ngoma is a small boutique lodge set on a plateau overlooking the Chobe River and floodplain. All eight thatched river-facing suites boast spacious internal and external living areas, a large luxury bath, an indoor and outdoor shower, air conditioning, overhead fans, a minibar, and tea/coffee facilities, including a Nespresso machine.
In addition, each suite features a private ‘refresh and relax’ pool conveniently located in the external living area. All rooms are equipped with three-quarter beds that can be converted to a king-size bed. Two of the eight suites have sofa beds and may be used as triples. The sofa beds are recommended for children between 10 and 11 years. Each suite offers a view of the river and presents the opportunity to see Chobe's famous elephants, migrating zebras, or buffalo grazing on the floodplain below.

Stay & Pay
Stay three nights and pay for only two, available for stays from 15 November to 31 March, excluding 20 December to 10 January inclusive. The conservation and community levy remains payable per person for each night of the stay, including the complimentary third night. Terms and conditions apply.
Honeymoon
Honeymoon couples receive 50 per cent off the bride's accommodation, along with a private dinner, a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and one complimentary couples massage per package, subject to the lodge. A minimum stay of five nights across Machaba Safaris lodges applies, the couple must have married within the preceding six months and a valid marriage certificate is required at the time of booking. The offer is valid all year, cannot be combined with any other special, and conservation levies remain payable for the bride for the duration of the stay.
Long stay
A long-stay reduction is built into the 2027 rates, with lower per person per night rates applying to stays of six to eight nights and lower still for stays of nine nights or more. Nights may be combined across any of the Machaba Safaris camps to qualify.

Children 10 years and older are welcome as standard. Younger children may be accommodated only if the entire lodge is reserved on an exclusive-use basis. Accommodation comprises 6 Luxury Suites plus 2 Luxury Suites with a sofa bed suitable for 1 child (recommended for ages 10–11), so only one child can be accommodated per such suite. A private game-drive vehicle is available at $550 per night, but it is not offered as a workaround for under-age children at Ngoma.

"Jolene was simply extraordinary. She put together what became an absolutely incredible African trip for us in the space of barely three weeks, and from the outset her responsiveness, knowledge and genuine enthusiasm were exceptional. Nothing was ever too much trouble, responses were almost immediate, and she very quickly understood exactly what we were looking for, our expectations and the way we like to travel. More than simply being an expert at what she does, Jolene genuinely cared about making the trip special for us, and that came through in every aspect of her planning. What particularly impressed us was the flexibility with which she brought everything together. We already had some of our own arrangements in place, including international flights and staying with friends in Cape Town, but Jolene seamlessly incorporated those into the overall itinerary and still organised all the surrounding logistics and transfers. The safari component she designed was outstanding, taking us through Kruger, Victoria Falls, Chobe and the Okavango Delta, before finishing in Cape Town and the Stellenbosch wine region. Every part flowed beautifully and the lodges, experiences and logistics were exceptional. Just as importantly, Jolene stayed in contact throughout the trip at all the key moments, which made travelling so much easier. She would check us in for our internal flights and send through the boarding passes, confirm transfers the day before each pick-up, and make sure everything was in place before we ever had to think about it. That attention to detail, and the fact that she was always one step ahead, removed so much of the usual travel stress and allowed us simply to enjoy the trip. It was genuinely the trip of a lifetime, put together in an extraordinarily short timeframe, and Jolene deserves enormous credit for making it all happen. We could not recommend her highly enough."
