You Should Know
Child Policy
No children under 6 years are permitted at the lodge unless by special prior arrangement. Children under the age of 6 years are not permitted on normal Big 5 game drives.
Childminders are available, by prior arrangement, at an additional cost.
When sharing with two full-paying adults:
- Children under the age of 3 years are accommodated on a complimentary basis in either a cot or a stretcher bed.
- Children between 3 and 11 years will be charged the applicable child rate.
- Children 12 years and older will be charged the applicable adult sharing rate (50% of the per person sharing rate).

Bush Lodge
11 bush-facing chalets on a floodplain with scenic mountain views and luxury thatch and glass chalets.
The chalets feature private game viewing decks, plunge pools, and outdoor showers. The indulgent bathrooms come equipped with free-standing tubs and double basins. Each room has an earthenware fireplace, adding to the luxurious experience.

Children are welcome and entertained by trained staff with various activities.
A one-hour game drive after breakfast is available for children, and children over 6 years are permitted on normal morning and afternoon game drives.

The reserve is home to Africa’s Big Five, rare white lions, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, giraffes, various antelope species, and over 300 bird species.

The Two Bedroom Msenge Family Chalet (9A/9B) and Two Bedroom Kudu Suite accept children of any age (subject to minimum occupancy of 3 guests). Standard room inventory accommodating children is limited to Impala 1 & 8, Gemsbok 10 & 11, and Family Chalets 9A/9B. Day Safari programme: under 6 not permitted; 6–11 pay child rate. Child Minders available by prior arrangement at additional cost.
