Days 01–03
Manyeleti Game Reserve
Begin your journey from Johannesburg with a scheduled flight from OR Tambo International Airport to the Manyeleti Game Reserve. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your lodge for check-in. Later this afternoon, your safari adventure begins as you venture out into the bushveld for your first game drive. Boasting one of the lowest vehicle densities in the Greater Kruger, you can expect an uninterrupted game viewing experience in an untouched African wilderness. Game drives average 3-4 hours, with a stop en route to stretch the legs and enjoy a refreshment while watching the sunset.
The next two days will be spent enjoying early morning and late afternoon game drives led by some of the best rangers in the industry, accompanied by local trackers from the native Shangaan communities. As there are no fences between the national park and the private game reserves, wildlife can roam freely. Manyeleti is prime “Big Five” territory, offering exceptional opportunities for viewing the elusive leopard. The reserve hosts more than 300 bird species and is home to lions, rhinos, buffalo, and elephants, which are spotted regularly. Manyeleti is a great safari destination for wildlife enthusiasts, photographers, and bird watchers alike.
