You Should Know

Children aged 6 and upwards are welcome. A private boat and guide are required for children between 6-12 participating in boating activities. Babysitting facilities are available.

The Details

Setari Camp accommodates up to 20 guests in 8 airy tents and 1 family suite. Each tent blends luxury with a relaxed atmosphere. Elevated wooden walkways connect the dining area, pool, and other communal spaces. Guests can enjoy private decks with stunning Okavango Delta views.

Safari activities include bush walks and Mokoro rides. Setari Camp offers delicious meals, comfortable lodging, and superb guiding for an unforgettable experience in the Okavango Delta.

Dining at Setari Camp

At Setari, indulge in a variety of delicious and wholesome meals crafted by the talented resident chefs. Guests can dine beneath thatched roofs in the main area or enjoy al fresco dining on the deck. The camp accommodates all dietary preferences, including vegetarian and vegan options. For a more intimate experience, private dinners can be arranged in the comfort and privacy of your tent or on your personal viewing deck.

Activities

Boat Safaris

Setari Camp offers boat cruises in nearby lagoons and waterways. Enjoy stunning sunsets and wildlife sightings from boats equipped with viewing decks. Each boat accommodates up to 8–10 guests and goes out twice daily with expert guides.

Guided Bush Walks

Immerse yourself in the bush on guided walks led by armed professional guides. These walks have a maximum capacity of 8 guests, accompanied by both a guide and a backup guide. Please note that children under 12 are not permitted on bush walks.

Catch and Release Fishing

Enjoy fantastic fishing opportunities in the lagoons and main channels. All necessary tackle and rods are provided. The barbel run between August and October is particularly exciting for anglers.

Full Day Delta Exploration

Guests staying 3 nights or more can enjoy a full-day exploration of the Delta. Start with a morning bush walk, followed by a picnic lunch on idyllic islands, and return to camp by boat as the sun sets over the Okavango.

Cultural Visit to Jao Village

Experience local life firsthand with a visit to the remote Jao Village, where you can interact with community members and learn about their culture and traditions.

Mokoro Trips

Glide through the tranquil waters of the Okavango Delta in traditional Mokoro canoes, expertly guided by local guides. Spot wildlife and soak in the serene beauty of this iconic wilderness area.

Child rates

Children aged 6–16 pay 50% of the adult rate in the Family Room. In a Standard Room, children up to 16 sharing with 2 adults pay 50%; if no parents share the room, a minimum of 1 child pays the full rate. Children over 16 pay the full adult rate.

Notable exceptions

  • Children 6 and older are generally welcome; children under 6 are considered on request in Low and Mid-season only. Children under 12 may join boating safaris only — bushwalks and mekoro activities remain restricted to ages 12+. Babysitting is available on request for younger guests. Family Room accommodates a maximum of 2 adults and 3 children (or 4 adults); Standard Room accommodates a maximum of 2 adults and 1 child up to 16. Note: sister properties Kala Camp and Kala Treehouse do not accept children under 12.

Kala Treehouse

Kala Treehouse is an exclusive-use treehouse camp in the Okavango Delta, bookable on a per-night basis with a minimum 3-night stay. The rate includes full-board accommodation, private safari activities, refreshments, drinks, laundry service, and helicopter transfers to and from Jedibe Airstrip. Light aircraft transfers in and out of Jedibe are excluded.
