The Details
Accommodation at Shindzela is provided in twin-bed canvas tents set on wooden platforms. Each tent is equipped with solar lighting, elegant wire insect mesh, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet, and basin.
Facilities at Shindzela include a covered thatched-roof dining and lounge area, a camp kitchen, a central African fireplace (boma), and a small swimming pool. The camp relies on solar-powered lights, gas geysers, and candles. There is a charging station available, though there are no power points in the tents. Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided.

Per child sharing per night (10–11 yrs) R3,136.00. Timbavati Conservation Levy R330.00 per child per night. Normal per person sharing rate applies when 1 adult shares with 1 child (no single supplement). Children of all ages welcome on whole-camp bookings, POR.
Notable exceptions
- Standard policy is no children under 10. Children of all ages are welcome when the whole camp is booked on an exclusive-use basis (price on request). Children 10+ may join game drives but are not permitted on walking trails — walking safaris are restricted to guests aged 16–60. The lodge has one family tent (max 3 persons: 2 adults + 1 child), subject to availability.

Morning Optional Walking Trail
Shindzela Tented Camp offers guests the option of replacing their morning game drive with a guided walking trail. This is included in the standard accommodation rate and provides an on-foot bush experience as an alternative to the vehicle-based morning activity.
