The Details
Presidential Suite
Our Presidential Suite offers unmatched luxury and space in the African bush. Spanning 225 square meters, it includes two en-suite bedrooms, a private dining room, a lounge with a fireplace, a wraparound deck, a private boma, and a plunge pool. The modern African décor and expansive deck provide an ideal setting to enjoy the wild surroundings.
Meals can be served in your suite, either by the fireplace or under the stars by the boma. The suite features air-conditioning, open fireplaces, and an additional outdoor shower for adventurous guests. Luxurious beds with embroidered linens, mosquito netting, and private viewing decks ensure a tranquil stay.

Superior Suites
Set under shady trees along the Monwana River, our superior suites offer privacy and comfort. Each suite includes a bedroom, lounge, en-suite bathroom, and private viewing deck overlooking an active waterhole. Natural colors, wooden decks, and thatched roofs blend seamlessly with the bushveld.

Stay & Pay
Stay four nights and pay for three: the fourth night is complimentary on a minimum four-night stay. Available for travel from 1 November to 15 December 2026, and in 2026 windows already passed. The offer does not apply to exclusive-use bookings and cannot be combined with any other special or discounted rate.
Long stay
A six-night combination itinerary pairs three nights at Franschhoek Country House & Villas in a Villa Suite, with breakfast daily and a two-course dinner at Monneaux Restaurant on an evening of choice, with three nights at Shumbalala Game Lodge including all meals, hot beverages, local branded drinks, bottled water, two daily game drives and optional bush walks. At Shumbalala you may choose either a complimentary upgrade to the Presidential Suite, subject to availability, or a complimentary fourth night. Dates are on request and the itinerary is not combinable with any other offer or discounted rate.

50% discount on accommodation for one member of the bridal party
One member of the bridal party receives a 50% discount on their accommodation at Shumbalala Game Lodge. A minimum stay of 4 nights is required. The offer is valid during three seasonal windows (07 Jan – 02 Apr, 08 Apr – 31 Jul, 01 Nov – 15 Dec) and cannot be combined with any other specials or discounted rates.

Shumbalala-specific policy overrides the general SLACRSA supplier clause (which accepts children of all ages at applicable lodges and permits game drives from age 6). At Shumbalala, children must be 10 years or older and must be accommodated in the Presidential Suite (2 bedrooms, max 4). A Presidential Suite Including Butler & Private Vehicle (guaranteed) is bookable as a separate product (not via API). A private vehicle is also available on request at R11,000 per day, subject to availability. Exclusive camp use (max 12) is available as a daily rate. Children younger than 16 are not permitted on bush walks under any arrangement.
