You Should Know

• Children 6 years and older are welcome at Splash Camp.
• A maximum of two children can stay at the reduced rate if booked into one of the two family rooms.
• Children under 18 years are not allowed to stay in a room alone without an accompanying adult.
• A private vehicle is required for children between 6 and 12 years.
• The minimum age for mokoro and walking activities is 12 years.

The Detail

The Kwara Concession shares a 30-kilometer water boundary with the renowned Moremi Game Reserve, considered one of the prime game viewing destinations in Botswana.

The camp features 12 elegant Splash Rooms, which have spacious bedrooms with double or twin beds draped in mosquito netting. The rooms include en-suite bathrooms with a double vanity, indoor and outdoor showers, a writing desk, an overhead fan, a small lounge area, and a private verandah with comfortable chairs offering spectacular views of the pan.

There is also a separate Splash Enclave Camp, designed for groups or families of 6–10 people, with no age restrictions. The Enclave Rooms are identical to the Splash Rooms but include additional private facilities such as a dining area, lounge, bar area, and plunge pool.

The camp facilities include an orientation center, a plunge pool, a bar, a lounge, a fire pit, and a curio shop.

Activities available at Splash Camp include morning and evening game drives in open safari vehicles guided by a professional guide and tracker. Visitors can also enjoy guided bush walks, providing close-up encounters with the diverse flora, fauna, and smaller wonders of nature. Other activities include mokoro (dugout canoe) excursions, fishing excursions offered 10 months a year, boating trips, and bird watching.

The Kwara Concession is home to an abundance of wildlife, including leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, lions, elephants, buffalo, and zebras. Bird enthusiasts will also enjoy the area, with over 300 bird species recorded—a true birdwatcher's paradise.
